How We Are Totally Taking Care of Our Health This Summer

Last month, I shared how much our routine changes when summer hits and how important it is to keep up somewhat of a schedule and routine – especially when it comes to your health! I know my son would be happy to skip showers and brushing his teeth for the next few months but by leading by example, we’ve all stayed on tracking of totally taking care of our health this summer.

When it hasn’t been raining {which it seems like it’s done for the last month}, we are taking morning walks as a family, eating lots of delicious fruits and veggies from the Farmer’s Market and having tons of fun playing in our own backyard and local parks.

As I mentioned, there’s a few ways that I’m stressing the importance of keeping up with our health this summer. We make sure to put sunscreen on before we go outside everyday {and reapply if we are out for several hours!} and in case there’s any boo-boos while we are out and about – like the one we had last week when Evie tripped on a sidewalk – I’ve got my diaper bag packed with Band-Aids and Neosporin.

At home, we are making sure to take care of our teeth. Hayden has his dentist check-up next week and it will actually be Olivia and Evie’s first dentist appointment! They already love brushing their teeth in the bathroom along with us so I am hoping they will have a good experience as it’s important to start good oral health early!
