Welcome to week 19 of Toddler Talk Thursday! Where Family and Life in Las Vegas, Crazy about my Baybah, and My Life as a Sippy Cup Mom Talk all things Toddler!
I am so excited to start holiday traditions with Hayden! It’s like we get to relive everything we did growing up!
Plus, we have this amazing responsbility of starting new traditions that our children will pass on with their own families!
Beofre Hayden was even born we made sure to get him a Baby’s 1st Christmas Ornament. Then, every year we get him an ornament for something that he is interested in!
Our hopes are that when he is all grown up and moves out and has his own tree (Snff, Sniff) we will be able to give his ornaments and he will be able to decorate his own tree.
I also have been collecting toys that are the same toys Hayden plays with for Toys for Tots so we can donate for a child Hayden’s age. Hopefully, he will learn and will grow up doing the same.
We also are going to do the usual, like making crafts, baking cookies and leaving them out for Santa! 😉
Have Fun!
Next weeks topic will be: Share a holiday tradition from your childhood that you continued on with your family!
Please – Before you Link up – This is NOT A BLOG HOP!! IT IS A MEME FOR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS OF TODDLERS. If you aren’t going to post specific to this weeks topic, then don’t link up.
I love the toys for tots idea! We are going to have to get a collection going to donate too!
I love that you are teaching your child to give back.
Love it!! 🙂 We are trying to teach Squish to give back too. Good idea by doing it with the same kind of toys.
That's such a fun idea! My parents used to do that with my brother and me, but I never thought of it for my boys. Thanks, mama!
Those are great traditions! We do the ornament thing every year to. My husband's family also does an ornament exchange so our tree has so many of the kids' ornaments already we may need a tree just for the kids in a few years.
The Toys for Tots idea is a great one. Thanks for the idea!
