My days are filled with running after 3 kids, laundry, working on the blog, cooking – you know, the usual for a busy Mom. After the kids go to sleep, I finally have some time to myself. I’ll usually catch up on TV shows, read or play a game on my iPhone or iPad. The latest game I’m hooked on is Midnight Castle from Big Fish Games.

I’m always up for a good game with an intriguing story and that’s exactly what Midnight Castle provides. In the story, your eccentric Uncle dies in a mysterious way and you’re name in the will where you inherit Midnight Castle. It’s rumored that there is a chamber inside called a Mystery Chamber that exists to fulfill the wishes of whoever occupies the castle. You are convinced that the Mystery Chamber played a role in your uncle’s demise, so you travel to Midnight Castle to investigate. To uncover the truth behind your Uncle’s death, you must enter the Mystery Chamber and learn its secrets.

Sounds good, huh?!

I absolutely love the incredibly detailed graphics and the music as you play the game.  I have never played a Hidden Object game before but now I’m hooked. I think it’s so important to keep challenging your brain and with Midnight Castle, I’ve been up to midnight trying to find these hidden objects and continue the story.

As you continue playing the game, you’ll meet interesting characters and creatures, gather gold {you’ll need lots to unlock additional game scenes or areas of interest!} and play the Hidden Object scenes.

If you find yourself  short on gold or unable to find the artifacts needed for your quest, you can try your luck at the Fortune Wheel or a game of dice against the ‘Grim Dealer’. Quest items are not always easy to find so you have access to the castle laboratory in which you can craft smaller items into the more powerful artifacts you seek on your quests. However, crafting is no easy task and for this you will need the help of the castle residents!

For even more fun, you can invite your friends to play Midnight Castle and gift each other the necessary Gold, Gems or items you’ll need to complete each exciting quest.

Did I mention that Midnight Castle is FREE?? There are some in-app purchases so you can further your game play, but I’m loving that it’s a free app for the iPad. Plus, there’s 40+ hours of gameplay where you can complete 350+ quests and uncover 16 different Hidden Object scenes!
