College is important but very expensive. This is why money is such a rare commodity for most college students. One way to overcome this is to get a part time job and balance that with school. Most courses require learners to dedicate hours to studying.
This means that one has limited free time to search for the part time job. It is a careful balancing act but one should make sure that the studies do not suffer as a result. WORK AS A PROMOTER, MARKETER OR EVENT MUSCLE
Getting freelance work is a bit hard but one can start off as a promoter or marketer. Promoters normally hand out fliers and engage customers to push a brand or get feedback about the brand.
Marketers strategize on the different approaches that a brand can take to increase their client base. One can even be a social media or online marketer where they increase the visibility of a brand online. To be an online marketer however, one needs to be an active social media person and also to be always beside the computer with internet connection. One can also market their own stuff at fairs or on an online platform. These can be self-made beadwork, paintings or even refurbished items that neighbors or fellow students threw out. One can volunteer to work on events so as to earn extra cash. If one is buffed enough they can work as security during the event as well.
SEARCH FOR HOUSEHOLD FREELANCE JOBS
One can babysit the neighbors’ kids, house or even pets. The good thing about such jobs is that they pay per hour and one does not require any skill except perhaps patience and self discipline. Students can also offer to clean pools, clean houses, garden, mow lawns, install bathtubs and/or paint houses, among other things at a fee.
The student should do these jobs to the best of their abilities so as to keep getting callbacks and referrals. People talk. If you do a good job with someone’s baby or pet, they will most likely recommend the use of your service to their friends. This will keep you with a constant influx of cash.
ABOUT BLOGGING, GRAPHIC DESIGN,
VIDEOGRAPHERS AND OTHER ONLINE JOBS
One can become a blogger. It may take time to start bringing money but it’s a worthwhile longtime investment. Students can also do graphic design for free for some clients and start charging over time. This will earn them some extra money, much needed experience and will also look good on the resume. If one is doing a financial course or a tech course, one can work for the campus.
They can be stationed in the accounts department or in the technology department as support. Taking photographs and videos is not such a hard thing. One can get a few pointers from online tutorials, buy a high resolution beast and start working. One can then be the designated photographer and videographer at friend’s weddings, parties and funerals. Overtime, the network will grow and with a bigger portfolio one can charge more.
At the end of the day, it is important not to lose sight of the ball. These jobs are supposed to help you get a smoother college education. It is therefore important to make sure you do not put the money before school. So, go ahead! Try you efforts in anything you like! Just remember about your college.

when I was in college, I worked part time in one of the school’s offices, then went to a baby sitting job when I got out, where I would also type papers, and then on the weekend cleaned houses. I still had to eat bread with ketchup on it for food, or went hungry. I suppose in some ways you can say it helps develop a strong work ethic, but all I remember is pulling many all nighters and being sick often.

These sound like great ideas. I never went to college so I don’t know what it’s like to work and got school but I can imagine it can be a struggle but you have to pay your bills some how. My son works an almost full time job so he is only able to be a part time student right now and depending on what class he is taking it can be a struggle at times.
