Make It Pretty Wednesdays: Jodi Gerber’s ArtisticLetters Review

A couple of years ago, Jodi Gerber decided to make all her Christmas gifts. She wanted something unique and personal, so she put her photography skills to work. She snapped clever shots of everyday items that resembled letters. Using these artistic letters, she presented family and friends with their last name in an 8” x 20” frames.

These gifts received such rave reviews she shifted the focus of her photography business from portraits to creating custom pieces with her artistic letters. Jodi created an entire catalog of black and white letter images over the past 3 years. The possibilities using these letters threw me into a creative frenzy! From name art to scrapbooking to card making… I would love to do it all with these letters! They are very easy to download, and although you can do many fancy things in Photoshop or other photo editing programs, I did all I needed to do (resizing and stretching) in Microsoft Word. The letters are unique and beautiful. Some are raw, earthy elements taken from plants or rock walls and others are from wrought iron scroll-work and the windows of what appears to be a cathedral. The black and white color is classic and will work with any color scheme. These letters are an imaginative way to make gifts for others and artwork for your home. You can use them in scrapbooking, on greeting cards, invitations, announcements-whatever your imagination dreams up!
