With Summer in full swing, my family loves to grill for most of our dinners. It’s a win-win situation for everyone in our family because my husband loves to grill while my son runs around in our backyard which means that I get to spend less time cooking in the kitchen! One of our go-to foods in the summer are burgers and we love trying different variations.
Hellmann’s is celebrating their 100th anniversary and they have teamed up with Mario Batali and Safeway to create some truly delicious summer recipes! As soon as I saw the recipe and video for Juicy Salsa Burgers, I just knew that was what I was going to have to make for my family! For all your grilling needs, your local Safeway is THE place to go!
There’s been plenty of times that we have put Hellmann’s on top of our burgers but the recipe for Juicy Salsa Burgers called for me to mix it up with the ground chuck. That’s not the only interesting part of this creation though, I was also challenged to not tell my family that Hellmann’s was the secret ingredient in the burgers!
Putting together the burgers was so easy. I loved the edition of chopped onions and Worcestershire Sauce but it was the Hellmann’s that made a HUGE difference. Sometimes my burgers can be a little dry but the Hellmann’s made these burgers so incredibly moist…and delicious! Adding salsa to the top of the burgers also gave it a little zing and my husband and I were both pleasantly surprised! My husband had no idea that Hellmann’s was the secret ingredient to the Juicy Salsa Burgers either! He absolutely loved these burgers and I’m not sure if we can make them again without adding some Hellmann’s to the meat!
- 2 lbs ground chuck
- ½ onion, peeled and grated
- 3 Tbls Best Foods Mayonnaise
- 3 Tbls Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbls chili powder (optional)
- ½ cup salsa – fire roasted preferred
- salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat grill.
- Mix ground chuck, mayonnaise, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and chili powder together.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Form patties gently.
- Grill to desired temperature.
- Top burgers with salsa and serve.
