If there’s one thing that my son loves, it’s Skylanders! It’s been an obsession of his for the last 2 years but it’s actually something I don’t mind. Not only does he love playing the game, he also loves playing with the figures. I love seeing his imagination run wild and him explore different worlds with them. So, I’m usually always hearing about new Skylanders Swap Force characters that are coming out. In fact, just a few days ago I was in line at Toys R Us to get the latest Skylander Doom Stone.
So, when I received an email telling me about the newest character to the Skylander Swap Force family, I knew that it was going on our list of things to buy this weekend!
Kickoff Countdown has the head of a soccer ball and celebrates this summer’s biggest sporting even! This unique Skylander will be available in Toys“R”Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com on Sunday, May 18 and at all major retailers starting May 25.
Originally, Kickoff Countdown was discovered by a group of Yetis who were snowboarding one particularly chilly morning when they came across a big bomb encased in ice. After bringing it back to their cabin, they were shocked when it actually came to life. No one, not even Countdown himself, has any memory of where he came from or how he ended up frozen in the mountains. Since becoming a Skylander, Master Eon has been graciously trying to help piece together fragments of his past. But this has proven difficult, as Countdown loses some of his memory every time he explodes – which happens a lot!
Will Kickoff Countdown be joining your collection?
My nephew loves these skylanders, he always comes over with them and talks about them, telling me about each one. I am sure he will have this one added to his collection quickly and I will be hearing all about him.
My son is too little for Skylanders still, but I KNOW I’ll be buying these for my nephew’s birthday this summer, if he doesn’t have them all before then!
My girls love Skylanders and my oldest plays soccer. She’ll love this new one!
I’m sure this will make it into my home soon enough!! My son isn’t really into them yet, but they seem pretty cool!
The boys in my class love talking about the Skylanders and are excited to hear any news about them!
I love that these are fun for both the boys and girls–sharing is a good thing! They’re not that expensive to collect either.
Man oh man your good! You know the whole back story to Skylanders and everything, I am impressed! My nephew is super into these things. He has tried to explain it to me several times. All I know is that he loves playing the game and has fun.
i have not seen this before and neither have the kids. i think they may be a little young for this but will be old enough in a year or so. it looks pretty good though.
I’ve never heard of these before, but then I don’t have any kids in my life right now.
