With less than two weeks before Christmas, I still have a few people to shop for. It might sound odd but I usually put off buying gifts for the Grandparents until the very last minute. Every year since my son was born, we make both my parents and my husband’s parents a personalized calendar filled with pictures of my son from the last year. I usually try to fill up each month with pictures from that month in the past year so I usually don’t get any Christmas themed photos until the last minute, hence waiting to make their calendars!
My go-to place to make personalized calendars is Walgreens because you can actually pick them up same day! How’s that for last minute? The last few years, my son has really enjoyed making the calendars for his grandmothers, so he was excited to sit down with me as we put them together.
Walgreens Photo makes it extremely easy to put together custom photo calendars. After logging into my account, we were able to choose what size calendar we wanted to create and then a variety of backgrounds to choose from.
My son and I browsed through all of our favorite pictures that are on my computer and uploaded them to my Walgreens Photo account. Creating a calendar is super simple and there’s no learning curve at all. There is the option to autofill all of your pictures into the calendar but since we make sure each month has a theme, we wanted to fill in the photos ourselves.
Once you have all of your pictures chosen for your calendar, the fun starts! One of my favorite features of the calendars is the option to add important dates – and even include a picture!
I was able to add important dates for our family throughout the calendar like birthdays and anniversaries, adding just a little bit more of a personalized aspect to the gift.
I love that we were able to completely customize the calendar ourselves from choosing the background colors and the layout with pictures from the last year. Once we were completely satisfied, we placed the order and received the email where it told us it would be ready in just one hour!
The ease of making a personalized calendar and having it be ready the same day makes it the perfect gift for loved ones this holiday season.
