When I found out that I was pregnant, I was already overweight. When I found out that I was having twins, everything I read said that I was going to have to gain SO much weight to carry them properly. I really didn’t want to gain that much weight and talked it over with my doctor. I ended up eating healthy, adding lots of protein and drinking over 120 ounces of water a day. Still, I gained a little over 30 pounds when I delivered my girls at 38 weeks.
Losing weight has always been a struggle for me. I’ve tried almost every type of diet out there and while I can lose a good amount of weight, it always comes back because I stop following the program. For me, the weight loss program that has worked every time is Weight Watchers. I love that I can eat all types of real food and I love that I can attend meeting that hold me accountable.
I had planned on joining Weight Watchers after I had my girls, so I was thrilled when I was asked to try the new Weight Watchers 360 program, a breakthrough approach that challenges members to not only track their food intake (PointsPlus), but also to manage those daily routines and spaces that sabotage weight loss. Since I was nursing my girls, I decided this was definitely going to be the right approach for my weight loss and fitness goals!
The new program encompasses three pillars:
- Tracking. Track food with PointsPlus, record weight and physical activity
- (NEW!) Spaces. You create and commit to an action plan and bookmark tips under these six environments: home, shopping, workplace, eating out, travel and occasions). You can get prompts in panic moments like “is fast food your only option?” when you are in the airport.
- (NEW!) Routines. You choose three routines (16 available) to follow every day (e.g., eat fruit with every meal). Record success daily.”
While I love the opportunity to attend meetings in person and get help and be inspired, I sometimes am simply too busy to get out of the house! Weight Watchers 360 offers me the option of going online to track my points and my activities. There’s also great articles and message boards to keep me motivated.
Since I always have my iPhone close by, I’ve downloaded the Weight Watchers app that lets me input all of my daily points right there on my phone. The Weight Watchers UPC Scanner app has been a lifesaver while grocery shopping – it’s really helped me make healthier choices while at the grocery store.
Best of all, I’m not feeling deprived. I’m eating real food with my family both at home and when we eat out plus I’m eating enough to be able to nurse my two little girls. After being following the Weight Watchers 360 program for a month, I am down 10 pounds! Losing those 10 pounds has encouraged me to join a gym and I’m excited that I’m getting fit for both myself and my family!

I’ve always struggled with my weight and although I’ve never been to Weight Watchers, I’ve heard great things about the program. I really like this new program. I think tracking food intake and exercise is really important aspect in the quest to lose weight and the prompts when out and about is a really good tool also for staving off temptation.
