You’re a mean one…Mr. Grinch! It isn’t Christmas until we get to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas. My favorites are the book and the cartoon but my son really loves the live-action movie. Whatever your favorite version, you’ll love how you can make your own Grinch suckers!
This is the perfect treat to make with your kids this month. Make a night of it by making the suckers first and then reading the book or watching the movie.
Make Your Own Grinch Suckers
Ingredients
- Jolly Ranchers – Green Apple
- Red Confetti Hearts (or any heart shaped candy)
- Sucker sticks
Directions
Preheat oven to 275 degrees
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
Unwrap Jolly Ranchers
Stick together 2 jolly ranchers on top of each other, make sure they are touching. Leave enough space so when they come out of the oven you can put a sucker stick in them.
Stick in oven for about 5-6 minutes. Keep a close eye on them and take them out when melted.
Immediately roll the end of a sucker stick in each sucker towards the bottom.
Quickly add the candy heart.
Let them set at room temperature until harden, about 10 minutes.
These are so easy to make and could be the hit of any Christmas party!

Where did you find the heart shaped candies?

Tried with wax paper and they stuck to it! 12 pops ruined ☹️. Just sprayed the pan but only had enough do to 4.
Christy says
You can not use wax paper! The instructions specifically say PARCHMENT paper. Big difference.

I’ve been using this recipe with my kids for years and it’s such a favorite that they almost require that we make them now that they’re 12 and 14! We did change out the confetti hearts for Red Hots but otherwise these are such a hit that my 12yo has to make extra for friends who want in on the fun! Thanks so much for sharing!
