Do you remember that big tote filled with amazing Elmer’s and X-ACTO products that I told you about last week? Well, I found another little treasure and made these really easy and cute gift tags with:
All you need is cardstock, a tag and hole punch (or cut your own) and Elmer’s Designer Masking Tape!
These took just a few minutes. They are pretty self explanatory, but here are some tips that I found out along the way:
You can place the tape on the paper in whatever design you would like, then pull up the sides to cut one continuous side, as I did here with the Christmas trees:
If you want to create an ornament, or some other shape that is harder to cut than a simple triangle, lay it out on scrap paper, cut it out, then carefully peel them back off and arrange on final paper. I love how easy to use this tape is!
The use of negative space is kind of a neat effect.
You can add a little sparkly star, a stamp, glitter glue ornaments or tie with a piece of twine-the possibilities are endless! I liked the look of lining up the red lines so the were continuous even with a break in between.
The Designer’s Masking Tape could make a festive, easy Christmas card too!
How cute!
And very Pretty!

I didn’t know Elmer’s made decorative tape, how cool! Your “merry wishes” tag has a wonderful minimalist look to it, very nice.
How fun would this be to make!
That tape is really fantastic!!! The tags look great too, they’re so expensive to buy!
