Summer means weddings! There are many things you can do yourself ahead of time when planning a wedding, saving time and money. One thing you could cross off your list are the flower girl halos!
They are so easy to make using just a few crafty items:
- Glue gun
- Small wire (I used picture hanging wire)
- Wire cutters & scissors
- Craft flowers
- 1″ thick ribbon
Measure your child’s head and determine the size of the halo you would like. Cut the wire two inches longer and twist the sides together. Glue the ribbon and twist loosely around the halo, overlapping slightly and secure with hot glue at the original place.
Clip flowers, leaving stems about an inch long. Put hot glue on the end and slip into the fold. Continue to add flowers and leaves around the outside of the ribbon covered halo.
You could add ribbons trailing down the back or just leave it as is!

She is quite the princess. 🙂 She didn’t like it when I had to put it up to keep it for the big day.

I have to get the two year old to wear one too. She is not so much into this kind of stuff like her older sister. 🙂
