No, it’s not Wednesday, but this is too huge to wait until next Wednesday! I am incredibly excited to share some of the beautiful things I have been making with the Lifestyle Crafts Epic Letterpress! Have you read about or seen these yet? This machine is incredible: a letterpress that embosses and die cuts too!
Letterpress is a printing technique that has been around since the mid-15th century. It is the printing of designs or lettering with ink while also debossing or depressing the image. Soft, think paper is used for the most impact.
The Letterpress was really simple to use and within minutes I was creating posh, handmade cards. The A2 size paper that comes with the kit is thick and rich looking. The resulting stationary is gorgeous. Be sure to click on the pictures so you can see in beautiful detail!
A gift tag also using the Nesting Circles cutting dies:
Printing with ink requires more precision and a bit more practice! I came up with some very pretty cards, but my lines weren’t as crisp as what is shown on the Lifestyles website. Oh, sad for me! I will have to spend more time playing with this amazing machine!
The inking process is quite simple and Lifestyle Crafts offers step by step pictures on their website. First, affix a printing plate onto the inside of the clear lid. Roll the plate with the inked brayer tool. Place the paper in the location you would like. Close the lid and roll it through the Letterpress!
Here is a brief tutorial from Lifestylecrafts.com showing how easy it actually is:
I have been an avid paper crafter for years now. I have tried tools of all kinds and this is one of my all-time favorites! I love the fresh and crisp look of the cards. Clean up of the ink does take a few minutes-everything wipes down with Lifestyle Crafts’s Cleaning Cloths. But this time is so worth it! Imagine how special the recipient would feel receiving an elegant card, hand-pressed by you!
If you couldn’t already tell by now, I am absolutely head over heels for the Epic Letterpress! I have so many ideas that I would love to create using the Letterpress! Lifestyle Crafts offers an amazing number of embossing folders and cutting dies. The scrapbooking pages and paper crafting… oh my! In my research for this post, I came across this Advent Calendar by designer Tiffany Hood featured on The L Blog-it makes me catch my breath! They also offer Custom Printing Plates. You could actually letterpress your own wedding invitations or baby shower announcements. I see many fun Make It Pretty posts in the future!

equate to immediate trust of the purifier using it.
Anyway, these cleaners work by trapping the allergens and particles, so that clean air can return to the area
where it is being used. Instead, these products seem to be
nothing more than fancy scented oil diffusers.
