Make Your Own No Sew Chewbacca Pillow

If you have a little Star Wars fan in the house you are going to want to make this adorable No Sew Chewbacca Pillow. If you are concerned about it being played with roughly and not holding up you can easily use these directions and just sew it up quickly on the machine.You will be pleasantly surprised how quick and easy this cute little wookie is to put together. I picked up everything I needed at Hobby Lobby within a few aisles and I have also included Amazon links to make it easy for you to grab everything.

Supplies Needed

2 12”x15” pieces of faux fur

Animal eyes

Animal nose

Black 2” ribbon or felt strips

Poly Fil

Grey felt

Hot glue gun/stick

Directions:

Lay out your first piece of fur and eyeball or measure the spots for your eyes and nose, cut or poke a small hole through fur and place the eye stud through it, press on the cap to secure it in place. The eyes that I recommend go together this way, yours may be different. Also, It is probably cheaper to buy faux fur by the yard but i gotta tell you it was worth grabbing 2 pieces of precut to save a little hassle!

Once your eyes and nose are in place you want to cut a 2” piece strip of black ribbon or you can use a 2” strip of black felt to create Chewbacca’s bandolier. Cut ⅓” x 2” pieces of grey felt and hot glue to the black to make the little ammunition pockets. Hot glue the entire thing diagonally across the body.

If you chose to sew your pillow together you can do so at this point by lining both pieces of fur up together with the right sides facing in. Sew ¼” from the edge all way around, leaving a 4” opening for stuffing.

Otherwise line up your fur right side out and apply hot glue about 4” at a time to the inside and press together firmly. Allow glue to set before moving on to the next section. Leave a 4” opening to add filling.
Stuff you Chewie pillow to your liking and finish gluing or sewing the rest of the way.
