As my husband has told our 8 year old son, it’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan. He grew up in the 80’s and was the typical Star Wars fanboy growing up and once we started dating, he turned me onto the saga also. We have had so much fun introducing Star Wars to all three of our kids – yes, even our 3.5 twin girls! We are so excited for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story© TM Lucasfilm LTD to be released next month on December 16th! My son has enjoyed shopping with me lately because he gets excited every time he sees Rogue One: A Star Wars Story toys and products.
In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, ordinary people are tasked with doing extraordinary things. As we head into cold and flu season, we are all about stocking up on Kleenex right now for our house, car and the classroom. It’s such a simple thing, but sharing a soft Kleenex tissue with a friend in need says a lot about how you care!
We are loving the new Kleenex brand boxes featuring Rogue One designs. It’s the perfect addition to my Star Wars obsessed son’s room because it also can be turned into a nightlight! This was a fun craft that I was able to sit down with my kids to do I love that whether he needs to grab a tissue in the middle of the night or just wants to look up at his ceiling to see the night sky, he’ll know that mama cares about him!
To make the Kleenex® Brand ft. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story designs night light, you don’t need much and it doesn’t take long to make either.
Materials
- Kleenex brand box featuring Star Wars designs
- Thumbtack
- Battery-operated tea light or glow stick
How to Make
- Once the tissues are removed, carefully remove the plastic inside the Kleenex box.
- Using a thumbtack, poke holes all over the box – this will create your night sky!
- Place a battery-operated tea light or even a glow stick in the box and then put it in your child’s room (okay, or even yours!). Once the lights are off, watch how the night sky lights up the room!
- Snuggle and tell Star Wars stories!
You and your kids will love having the Kleenex® Brand Box featuring Rogue One: A Star Wars Story limited edition designs in you house! The next time you need a tissue…the force just may be with you!

What a fantastic project for a Star Wars fan! The fact that you’re recycling the tissue box and that it’s so inexpensive makes it so appealing.
