For the past few years, I have loved seeing everyone’s Elf on the Shelf pictures! I decided that this year we were going to have an Elf make a debut in our house!
We decided to have our Elf come to our house on the Friday after Thanksgiving. While Hayden and I were in his bedroom, someone rang the doorbell and knocked on the door!
I know that you’re not supposed to have the kids touch the Elf, but we let Hayden open the door and bring him to us while we read the Elf on the Shelf book. As a family, we decided on the name Max!
Hayden was VERY skeptical of Max being an actual Elf from the North Pole and kept insisting that he was “just a toy”. We kept trying to convince him that Santa sent Max to keep an eye on him and that he would report back each night!
We have only had him for 2 nights, but here’s a bit of what we have found him doing!
Max playing the Nintendo Wii U
Max watching from the top of the tree
Do you have an Elf visiting your house this Holiday Season? I’d love to hear more about your Elf and some ideas!
I’m linking up with Crazy & Cool with a Side of Crafty and The Green Eyed Momma for their weekly linky party “Elfin’ Around”!

Our elf is named Snickers. Matthew is totally convinced that he’s real! My husband and I have a hard time trying to find new spots for him. We have done the tree, the mantle, the stockings, the ceiling fan, the chandelier – basically anywhere to high for Matthew to try to touch him!

Oh, I love that name! Hayden is still so skeptical which cracks me up! I am going to have to start pre-planning some ideas on where to put him!

I really wish that my daughter was younger so that we could play with the elf on the shelf too, he is so cute!

We’ve never had an elf visit our house. I wish I did this when the kids were little.

I still haven’t seen the movie but I love seeing all the creative mischief that he gets into at various peoples houses. So neat 🙂

I haven’t tried the Elf, and since my littlest is 5, I don’t think its something I’ll get into. I have enough trouble keeping up with the Tooth Fairy, Santa and the Easter Bunny these days.
