Right now, I’m in Florida spending a whole week at the beach with my extended family. We’ve spent our days between the pool, beach and a little bit of shopping. It’s been such a fun spending some quality time with family that I don’t see that often. Plus, this time of year is one of my favorites – I love the long summer days, BBQ dinners, the time we spend outdoors and the fireworks in the sky!
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and I have so many fond memories of the day growing up. I love the memories that I’m making with my kids too! Of course, that day revolves a lot around the food and I’ve got a delicious new treat that will be featuring at our 4th of July BBQ – EDY’S® Frozen Custard!
Dreyer’s and EDY’S® is the first national brand to offer the beloved all-American treat: thick, rich and creamy Frozen Custard! It’s been the perfect treat during our big family vacation and will be the perfect addition to your 4th of July.
I served EDY’S® Old Fashioned Vanilla Frozen Custard on mini apple pies complete with a little bit of red, white and blue sprinkles! Apple Pie and Frozen Custard…what is better than that this summer?
I bought the mini apple pies already made {Mom Tip to save you time!} but here is a recipe for you to make them yourself. Serve up those mini apple pies with a scoop of EDY’S® Old Fashioned Vanilla Frozen Custard and everyone will be happy!
Frozen Custard is ice cream’s creamier cousin and is available in six sensational flavors from Dreyer’s and EDY’S®. You’ll find delicious flavors like:
– Old Fashioned Vanilla Frozen Custard
– Chocolate Malt Frozen Custard
– Salted Caramel Pretzel Frozen Custard
– Snickerdoodle Frozen Custard
– Peanut Butter Pie Frozen Custard
– Mint Cookies ’N Cream Frozen Custard
Frozen Custard has always been a favorite of mine and I love that I can enjoy EDY’S® Frozen Custard at home in so many different flavors! I loved trying the Old Fashioned Vanilla on the apple pies but I know that the Snickerdoodle or Peanut Butter Pie would be delicious in between some sugar cookies!
Dreyer’s/EDY’S® Frozen Custard is available in the freezer aisle at retailers throughout the country, such as; Safeway, Kroger, Walmart, Target, Delhaize, HEB and Publix! I found mine at Walmart but to find if it’s in your area, use their store locator.

We always have ice cream while we watch the fireworks because it is usually hot here in Nebraska. Custard would be a nice change of pace, especially because I have never had it that I can remember.
