Even though our city doesn’t have a football team anymore (the St. Louis Rams left our city to go to Los Angeles!) doesn’t mean we don’t still watch the Big Game! Our whole family likes to make a big day of it and while my husband is more about actually watching the football on the screen, I’m all about the food – and the commercials. But mostly the food (especially the recipe for Mini Baked Taco Casserole Boats I’m sharing with you!)! Whether it’s just your immediate family or if you invite friends over, I’ve got some tips to share with you to make the party fun!

Have Some Fun for Non-Football Fans and Kids
There’s sure to be someone at the party that isn’t into watching the actual football game so make sure to have something for for them to do – that goes for the kids too! I love the idea of creating BINGO cards to make watching the game and commercials fun for non-fans.
Buying some pom poms and making football flags would be a fun craft and activity for the little ones to do too – it keeps them busy while the adults are yelling at the TV!
Selfie Station
Everyone loves a good selfie, right? This is my new favorite thing to have at any event. Set up a space with a basket full of football related props – an actual football, pom-poms, a whistle and a flag. Let people take pictures and have fun! You could even create a special hashtag for your football viewing party!
Serve Easy to Eat Food
Just as important as the Big Game is the FOOD! When having a party like this, I think it’s best to serve easy to eat food. That means bite sized food or food that’s easily contained so it doesn’t make a big mess. That’s why I’m loving this recipe for Mini Baked Taco Casserole Boats for the Big Game! It features Old El Paso mini soft taco boats and is the perfect size to snack on! I love making taco casserole for my family and usually make it at least once a week. Putting it in the soft taco boats makes it even better if you can imagine – plus, it’s so easy to make which means it’s perfect for a party!

These Mini Baked Taco Casserole Boats are the perfect snack for your guests to grab and eat while they are watching the Big Game. They are so good, you may find yourself switching from your regular taco casserole to this!

I picked up everything I needed from Walmart – they have a huge variety of Old El Paso products to choose from – varieties of taco boats (whole wheat, mini soft, and soft tortilla) as well as the bold shells (Bold Ranch Stand and Stuff Shells, Bold Spicy Cheddar Stand and Stuff, and Bold Nacho Cheese Stand and Stuff). When you’re shopping for the Big Game next month, make sure to head to Walmart to get everything you need!

What are some of your favorite snacks to serve up during the Big Game?
Disclosure: I partnered with Old El Paso, Walmart and Acorn Influence for this post but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

these tacos boats look yummy!
We love making these, especially because everyone gets to put on what toppings they like.
I need to get these soft taco boats. They are the perfect size for my kids and would really help their tacos to not fall apart when we have tacos for dinner.
