As a work-at-home Mom to three kids, it’s hard to find some “me time”. Something always needs to be done, someone always needs to be taken care of it seems. Even when we are relaxing as a family, I feel like I should be up cleaning or something! This past year, Olivia and Evie have been attending a Mother’s Day Out program. It’s only 2 days a week for 3.5 hours but it’s been a huge help for me. I usually take that time to run errands or head back home to catch up on laundry or blogging. I rarely take that time to do something for just ME but recently I decided to change that!
Thanks to Crocs, I decided to let go of all that needed to be done and just take those 3 hours for myself. It turns out I can get a lot done in 3 hours and I made sure to take full advantage of it.
After dropping the girls off, I went straight to get a spa pedicure done. I loved being able to sit back and relax for an hour while the chair massages my back. It’s not very often that I have the chance to get a pedicure so I was glad to have finally made time for it!
After my pedicure, I headed to Starbucks to get a venti iced coffee, my latest addiction. I drink it plain and it sure does give me the energy to get through the day. Usually I go through the drive-thru and drink it while on the go, but this time I decided to enjoy it outside on the patio for a bit before I went to my next place of relaxation.
Yup, I headed to the grocery store. The perfect place to end my 3 hours of me time. I was able to leisurely stroll through the store all by myself and din’t have 3 kids begging for a free cookie or saying they were bored. Now that is my idea of some “me time”!
