Who are you going with?
I went to Disney’s new movie PROM with my 15 year old cousin and her friend.
I went into the movie thinking it was going to be just another teen flick, but I was happy to be proven wrong!
At “Prom,” every couple has a story and no two are exactly alike. Several intersecting stories unfold at one high school as the big dance approaches; “Prom” portrays the precarious passage from high school to independence as some relationships unravel and others ignite. For Nova Prescott (Aimee Teegarden), it’s a battle of wills as she finds herself drawn to the guy (Thomas McDonell) who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Fellow seniors Mei (Yin Chang) and Tyler (De’Vaughn Nixon) harbor secrets, while others face all the insecurity and anticipation that surrounds one of high school’s most seminal events. There are hundreds of nights in high school, but there’s only one “Prom.”
After seeing PROM, I love this trailer even more!
The theater was filled with teenagers who LOVED the movie.
Squealing, laughing and mooning over the characters. And that was just me! 😉
Most of the girls in the theater loved “Bad Boy” Jesse Richter, played by newbie actor Thomas McDonell.
But the girls behind me? They were definitely swooning over lovable Lucas, played by Nolan Sotillo.
I loved following the different stories of the teens and was surprised how funny PROM was. I literally laughed out loud several times.
When I checked out PROM’s You Tube page, I was excited to find out that two of my favorite characters from PROM, Lucas and Corey, have short videos featuring them. What a fun way to develop the characters even more!
One of my favorite thing about the movie PROM?
The soundtrack! It’s amazing!
I will definitely be downloading the soundtrack for PROM! You can go over to the PROM Facebook page to listen to it for yourself!
Disney’s PROM is rated PG and is a lot of fun! I definitely recommend seeing it!
PROM will released in theaters THIS Friday, April 29th.
Disclosure: I received tickets to see PROM on behalf of the Walt Disney Studios. All opinions are my own.
