Who doesn’t love winter/holiday/Christmas-themed episodes of their favorite TV Shows? We certainly do!
We are big Yo Gabba Gabba fans in this house – and when DJ Lance walked in wearing snow boots and a winter hat at the beginning of Yo Gabba Gabba: A Very Awesome Christmas Special, my son was so surpised! He loves to sing and dance along with all the YGG characters. DJ Lance puts a gingerbread house in Gabba Land and there is a gift exchange – what do they get for Santa? In the next story, they learn that giving is fun, too!
Mike the Knight: Mike’s Christmas Surprise contains five stories (including a bonus episode) with interactive games, a music video, and more! A special visitor surprises Mike for Christmas, and Evie’s magic creates some Christmas chaos!

The Snowman and the Snowdog is the sequel to the Christmas classic, The Snowman, based on author Raymond Briggs’ children’s book. It is beautiful and touching. There is only music, no voices, but my son sat mesmerized and watched the whole thing! A young boy and his mother move into a new house and he discovers a secret box with parts to make a snowman! He builds both a snowman and a snowdog, who come to life and take him on an adventure. In the morning, a surprise happens!

We have a stack of dvds nearly to the roof in our house – these will make a perfect addition to our ever growing selection of kids dvds. I have just shown them my daughter & asked her to choose one … she replied “I want all of them!” – all of them it is then lol thanks for the recommendations 🙂
I read Snowman to my children when they were little. I really like Raymond Briggs. I will have to check out Snowman and the Snow Dog. I am sure my children would enjoy this. They loved the Snowman book.
My son loves holiday themed shows…..he comes in demanding that I put it on his favorite show the christmas episode and he doesnt want to take me word when i say there isn’t a Christmas episode for every show
