The Consumer Electronics Show is in full swing right now in Las Vegas and they are unveiling the coolest gadgets for 2012. I’m so excited to show you one of the latest things that has just been announced by Samsung.
The Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor is the ultimate solution for parents looking to keep a safe eye on their children. A sleek and compact design, the monitor can be placed just about anywhere and comes with a swiveling bracket that allows parents to connect it to the wall. Further adjustment can be made since the lens can tilt from 0 to 150 degrees. Samsung has also included non-visible infrared LEDs which will allow parents to view their children in complete dark for when your child is sleeping.
What I absolutely love about the Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor is that Samsung will provide free apps for mobile platforms including Android and iOS so you can view your child no matter where you are!
The Samsung Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor is an easy to use IP-based camera that features an effortless one-touch button that will automatically pair the device to a wireless home network in under 30 seconds. No installation of software is required and users simply register their camera with SamsungSmartCam.com and are then able to view what matters most from right in their home or anywhere in the world by instantly transforming any Internet connected smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer into their own personal monitor. There is no limit to the amount of cameras that can be added to an account as users can register, label and view live footage from each using their one login. I love that both my husband and I would have access to the camera!
With an embedded mic and speakers, Samsung’s Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor is also capable of two-way talk and can be configured to automatically record video when motion or sound is detected. That footage will automatically be uploaded to a secure YouTube account and users will be notified of the event via real time push notifications.
“Parents turn to video baby monitors because they’re looking for peace of mind, and with Samsung’s new Wi-Fi solution we’re showing here at CES 2012, they’re getting that and a whole lot more,” said Mike Palazzolo, Vice President Sales and Marketing, consumer video monitoring and security products, Samsung Techwin America. “Samsung is putting the latest in wireless and IP technologies right in the palms of parents’ hands, but has done so in a way that delivers unmatched simplicity and flexibility.”
The Samsung Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor is already a recipient of a 2012 Innovations Design and Engineering Award and offers industry leading design, technology and security.
Available in March 2012, it will retail for $149.99.
What do you think about the new Samsung Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor?
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I’m really excited about this latest technology and wanted to share!
OOOh I like! I’m surprised that it doesn’t cost more! Maybe baby #3 needs this 🙂
I am so excited for the price, I definitely thought it would cost more! I think Baby #3 needs it for sure! 😉
I am so amazed by all the cool gadgets people invent. Makes we wonder what there will be when my kids have kids!
Sounds easy to use and not very expensive!
I think it’s VERY cool! I wish they had this when my daughter was young.
Oh man, that’s cool. We might need to look into that in a couple months (when we finally move the baby out of our room).
It seems like an awesome product. My only concern is that there doesn’t seem to be any way to monitor the baby if either my Wife or myself aren’t home with our iPhones. My mother-in-law takes care of our daughter during the day and having a simple monitor that she can carry around the house while the baby is a sleep is priceless.
We currently have a Levana baby monitor is it’s horrible. We’ve had it for less then a year and the battery is dying and no replacements. It’s also cutting in and out. This Samsung would be a great replacement If we can get a dedicated monitor for the camera’s. Any idea’s? Do they offer one?
