Operation Father’s Day: Shopping at Sears for a New Grill! #GrillingIsHappiness

Father’s Day is quickly approaching and I wanted to make sure that I did something special for my husband. He’s definitely the rock in our family! He works so much and he always works on Father’s Day too so I knew I wanted to plan a special celebration for him before the big day.

Even after a long day at work, my husband loves to grill. Most times I don’t come outside with him because I think he likes to just relax. #GrillingIsHapppiness for him so it’s the perfect way to decompress! We always grill several times a week and love having people come over for BBQ’s too! Since he loves to grill so much I knew what the perfect Father’s Day gift would be  – a new grill from Sears!

I knew that I wanted to look at the grills in person, but I love to browse online before. I wanted to check out the to see if there were any great deals at my local store too. There were some great deals I came across too! Starting 6/10, you can save on everything you need for  since all gas grills are on sale!

While browsing around the Sears website, I came across the Outdoor Living Catalog – I LOVE catalogs!

Ever since I was very young I loved browsing catalogs and circling what I wanted. Now, I love that I can browse catalogs online! Flipping through the 74 pages, I now had a good idea of what kind of grill I wanted for my husband. I knew he’d want a larger grill and I was leaning toward a stainless steel grill. I couldn’t wait to go check them out in person!

Before I went though, I made sure to download the Shop Your Way Rewards App on my iPhone. My Mom always raves about Shop Your Way Rewards, so I’m not sure why I hadn’t joined before. I downloaded the app and liked that I could join and create an account from the app – I didn’t have to do it from my home computer.

Since my husband was at work, I loaded my son in the car and we went to our local Sears to check out the grills. Looking around the bottom floor of Sears, it was definitely . I know it wasn’t because I looked like a clueless woman pushing around a stroller because Sears always has such great customer service but I had at least 4 employees ask if I needed help with the grills. I love when a store has great customer service and knows what they are talking about because our salesman was so helpful and knowledgeable!

There was also so much to look at from all of the gas and charcoal grills to accessories and covers!

When I came into Sears I had my mind set on a stainless steel gas grill. But as I was talking to the salesperson and sharing a bit more about my husband and his grilling style, he showed me this great charcoal/gas grill combination! Now, this was a brilliant idea! My husband (and I!) love the taste of meat on a charcoal grill but love the convenience of a gas grill. Now we could have both!

It was such a great price too for only $349 – right in my budget! Plus, all this month Sears is offering FREE ASSEMBLY on all gas grills! I knew that I wanted to bring mine home right away though and I had already enlisted my Mom to meet me at my house to put it together.

I wanted to get a cover for the grill but had to idea what size to get but our salesman Paul was able to find the perfect fit for me! After grabbing the grill cover, we were ready to check out! Checking out was easy and once I gave them my phone number, they already were able to pull up my information and give me my Shop Your Way Rewards points! I had literally signed up less than an hour ago!

Since I opted to bring the grill home myself, I had to bring my son home and take his carseat out to make room for the grill. Picking up the grill was so easy though, I just pulled up to the delivery door, got out and scanned my receipt and they brought it right out to my car and loaded it up for me!

Once we got home, my Mom and I set to work getting the grill together. I didn’t want my husband to have to do a thing – this was his Father’s Day gift! Since we weren’t grilling until the next day when I invited friends over, I knew I could put the new cover on and he wouldn’t even notice it was in the backyard!

Hayden was anxious to reveal the grill though – I had to make sure he stayed quiet!

I couldn’t wait until the next day when we were having friends over! I knew my husband would love the grill and couldn’t wait for him to see it – it looks so good in our backyard!

My husband was thrilled with his new grill and loved showing it off to his friend! They even took advantage of the grill by using both the charcoal side and the gas grill side!

We had a wonderful time at our BBQ – so many memories were made and will be made thanks to our new grill from Sears!
