Back in February, my friend Carrie gave me the heads up that Oprah would be in St. Louis filming 2 different shows for her Lifeclass Tour. I thought it would be an amazing experience so I signed up for the lottery to try and get 2 tickets. I didn’t get tickets through the lottery though so I was a little disapointed but couldn’t wait to see the episodes on her network.
I was out shopping Sunday afternoon with my Mom when I got an email that said if you want tickets to one of Oprah’s shows, head down to the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis! They were giving out tickets! I texted my aunt to let her know and we started the 20 minute drive to get downtown!
Once in line, we quickly made friends with all of the people around us! Everyone was just so excited about the possibility of seeing Oprah! As we were standing there waiting, a black SUV drove by with Oprah in the backseat! She rolled down the window and waved to everyone.
Tickets were one per person and could be anywhere in the theater. Luckily, my Mom and I got seats next to each other and my Aunt was a few rows ahead of us. We were so excited! We got some paperwork where we were instructed to arrive early and wear bright colors!
The next morning, we got to the Peabody Opera House and we were ready to learn!
We had to be at the theater by 1pm and taping began at 2pm. The guest for this Lifeclass was Bishop TD Jakes. I had heard of him but never really watched or read anything of his but WOW! He had such a strong message!
Oprah encouraged everyone that had smartphones to Tweet and Facebook the entire time so I spent a lot of time tweeting out what Oprah and Bishop TD Jakes were sharing. The big topic of the class was finding your passion and your purpose! {The show gave me so much to think about!} The episode airs in a few weeks so I don’t want to share too much, because it’s definitely an episode you should check out.
Here are some great quotes from them that I tweeted out and wanted to share with you.

We got to see two different guests come out and share their story while Oprah and Bishop T.D Jakes helped them. It was definitely inspiring and emotional. Tell me, why did I forget to bring tissues to see Oprah!?
The Lifeclass that we attended will air on the OWN Network on April 9th – make sure to watch! Bring the tissues and be prepared to find your purpose in life!

We had to get there at least and hour and a half early and the doors closed an hour before taping started and they wouldn’t let anyone in! They are going to have an amazing time!
