Before my son was in elementary school and I had my twins, I never realized just how busy life could get. Sometimes I look back and long for the days where we would have nothing going on but really, I thrive on a busy schedule! The one thing I always say to friends, family and clients, it’s that if it’s not on my calendar, it doesn’t happen. Now I say, if it’s not in my Pod, it doesn’t happen!
PodKeeper is an online family organizer and is ideal for all extra-curricular activities: soccer, little league, playgroups, scout troops, swim teams, book clubs, school classes, PTA, etc. The list is really endless and includes anything with a need for ongoing communication and coordination.
It’s an ideal organizer for both leaders of groups and families! I immediately set up my Mitchell Family Pod and included my husband and my Mom since she frequently helps out with our kids. Since Hayden started school, there are just SO many activities going on. Just a few weeks ago, my husband said he scheduled something for a Thursday the same time as an event at Hayden’s school. I thought I had told him about it since it was scheduled in my calendar but I didn’t. Thanks to PodKeeper, this won’t happen anymore since when I set up an event, it automatically will send out an email to everyone in my Pod. I can even set it up to have an email reminder right before the event is scheduled to happen. Check out my Pod below:
These are just a few of the events going on in the next few weeks that I want my family to know about. I’m still adding stuff manually but you also have the option of saving events to your Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar, iCal or Outlook calendar.
Another thing I am REALLY excited about using PodKeeperfor is the Parent Teacher Group at my son’s school. I was just elected to be the Activities Director for the 2014-2015 school year and while I’ll be a newbie to the board, I really want to introduce PodKeeper to them.
PodKeeper is actually PERFECT for a PTA. You can add all of your members to a Pod and from there you can view the calendar with upcoming events, discussions, lists, files where you can upload flyers for upcoming events, handouts, handbooks and more. It’s completely private and password protected so only invited members of the Pod can access the information.
PodKeeper can also be accessed anywhere – from your computer, phone or tablet! I am SO excited that PodKeeper has been introduced into my life and is helping me to keep organized. I’m now hooked on getting everyone I know to join PodKeeper so they can get organized too. If it’s been a goal of yours to get your life organized, join PodKeeper today – it’s free!

Oh wow! this looks like an amazing tool for families! I’m going to have to check it out, my hubby is always saying “but you never told me about this event.” Maybe with this, he wouldn’t be able to use that line anymore, lol!

I think anything that helps busy individuals, especially moms, organize their days is a winner! I think this app is pretty cool-I love how it’s not only limited to one person if multiple people are in the same group 🙂

Love that you can send reminders. We need something like this. Hubby isn’t on all the email lists for sports and activities and I’m not always perfect at remembering to tell him changes

Great way to stay organized and keep on top of everything we do in life. I love that you can send reminders too!

We all have those moments when we’re caught in surprise only to find out that the soccer game will be in the next five minutes! I’m sure we can all relate. I’d say that I love organizing things and stuff. But in spite of this, there are still times that some things will escape my attention and suffer the consequences. This is a great tool! I would definitely check this out. 🙂

I am a need to see it physically on a list/planner person so I don’t know how it would work online for me. It is neat though.

One of the best things about modern technology is the fact that it allows us to be more organized and to get things done more efficiently.

This sounds very cool! I know it would be great for my sister. She needs some major organization in her life. I am lucky because I use my Outlook calendar. Everyone in our family have Windows phones so I just send them invitations to events that I expect them to attend.
