I would like to say that my iPhone is my phone only but I have to admit that Hayden and I share the phone.
He has a whole page of “his” applications. He knows how to turn on the phone and get to that page. He can scroll through the photos. Heck, for a little while I changed my ringtone to the song “The Phone Is Ringing” from The Wonder Pets because I knew he would like it. Trust me though. That got old FAST.
One of his favorite games is called Peekaboo Barn. Originally, we downloaded the “Lite” version, which was free. It’s a cute game featuring a little red barn. When you tap the barn, different animals appear.The animal makes its noise and then a child’s voice tells you the name of the animal. With the “Lite’ version you only get 3 animals.
We decided to buy the full version for $1.99. The full version features 10 animals, a barn party, nightime goodbye and is also available in Spanish!
The pictures are so cute. This game has really helped Hayden learn his animal sounds and the names of the animals. He loves running around saying “Sheeeeeep! Baaaaaa!”. He is even guessing what animal is in the barn before the barn door opens.
This app has been downloaded over 200,000 times! It’s been featured by Apple and written up in USA Today, NY Times and more!
I highly recommend this game for your toddler! It’s worth the $1.99 especially when you’re in a restaurant and a tantrum is about to happen. Peekaboo Barn has saved the day many times!Â

This is the only app that I've paid for. Amelia loves it! The other one that she likes is "I Hear Ewe." It's got a bunch of farm animal, wild animal, and plane/car/motorcycle sounds. It was free which is even better!

There's just so many apps for kids – perfect for those dr. visits or whining spells…..lol.
My iPhone is half my daughters too! It has saved us so many times! She loves to watch Mickey Mouse on it (thank you You Tube) and her favorite game right now is My First words. Its awesome because she is learning letters too!
Oh yes, many times I will pull up Mickey Mouse on You tube. I love the ones that are 10 minutes long! Totally calms down a meltdown! I'm going to download My First Words right now!

My daughter was just playing with the free version of Peekaboo Barn this morning. I was just thinking about buying the full version. She has more games and videos on my ipod than I do. I Hear Ewe is popular in my house too.
See & Say from Fisher Price is great. I think it was two or three dollars but it's her favorite. It combines the standard See and Say with videos of the animals.
