Sunday we headed to a local orchard called Eckert’s Orchards with our friends. We are a big fan of Eckert’s and I was excited to go there because they have a brand new store that opened up.
We also planned on picking peaches while there too.
It was Grand Opening for the store, so it was really busy. Which means it was really busy when your toddler wanted to get down and run around. We had a 40 minute wait for their restaurant so we decided to hang outside and wait.
Hayden and O deep in conversation.
Hayden was not impressed with my offer of cheerios.
Eating out with public with Hayden has been a nightmare lately. I definitely think we will be avoiding it. He just wants to get up an run around. Snacks, toys and crayons does not keep him seated at the table.
I was a little worried about eating at Eckert’s but I was super excited that they led us to the very back of the restaurant in a secluded corner. Score!
They must have thought 2 Toddlers=Potential Chaos!
No worries though, because it was the adults who spilled the drinks and dropped food!
(No, I won’t name any names!)

We decided to go to the fields and pick some peaches. We got on the tractor to take us to the fields. It wasn’t busy at all so I was so excited! We walked right on, which is good with two toddlers. Last year, we waited in line almost an hour to pick apples!

I love this picture of Heath and Hayden!
When we got to the fields Hayden got very excited and began to yell “Apples! Apples!” over and over again. We kept telling him they were peaches, but he INSISTED they were apples. Toward the end, he admitted they were peaches, but then went back to saying they were apples. I think he was teasing us! 😉
Out in the fields!
Hayden diving to get an “apple”.
After a fun day at Eckert’s we bought some delicious Peach Beer (O’Fallon Wheach Beer) and some Homemade Raspberry Salsa and headed to our friend’s house to relax.

I loooove peaches! I'm jealous lol
Looks like you had a wonderful day. I have been wanting to go apple picking here for years. Now we will wait until Belle is older to go.
