Potty Animals Review and Giveaway! *CLOSED*

So in addition to potty training a toddler, you also have to teach them good bathroom habits!

Potty Animals is a fun book that teaches kids good bathroom manners!

We haven’t gone full into potty training with Hayden (trust me, you’ll know when we do because I’ll probably be going crazy!) but he likes to come in with us when we are in the bathroom and we like to tell him what to do, like closing the door and washing his hands.


This kid LOVES to wash his hands, so he’s nothing like Wilbur in the book who doesn’t wash his hands. 

The book has really gorgeous artwork featuring different “Potty Animals” and their bad bathroom habits. 

The beginning of the book invites you to read about:


Most critters are quite tidy
a clean and pleasant lot.
But now and then you’ll meet a few
young beasties who are NOT.
They don’t mean to be messy.
They haven’t got a clue.
Come meet some potty animals
and tell them what to do!

After learning what each animal is doing (or rather, NOT doing), there is a cute little rhyme to remind them of good habits!


Hayden and I sat down to read the book and I love the bright pictures of all the animals. We read though the book a couple times and then headed to the bathroom and told him about what we had just learned in the book!




The book is written by Hope Vestergaard, a former preschool teacher and toilet training expert! 🙂

    In my family, manners is a big thing! We were always raised to have good manners and I would love to pass that down to my daughter. She is almost potty trained and I have my niece starting soon so this would be a great book that they can share!
