Well, I’m only about 4 weeks away from delivering these 2 babies! The last 2 weeks have been ROUGH! Hayden tested positive for the flu and 2 days later I came down with the same symptoms.
I was having a lot of trouble breathing, keeping anything down and just feeling rotten so I headed to the hospital, per my doctor. They ended up admitting me and I spent 4 nights in the hospital on antibiotics and getting better. I still feel yucky with my cough, congestion and achy body, but glad to be home and in my own bed.
So, you get this lovely picture of me at 34 weeks – no makeup, hair up but wow, has my belly gotten bigger! I’m measuring at 40 weeks now.
How Far Along:
34 weeks, 3 Days!
Total Weight Gain:
Up 21 pounds.
How Big Are The Babies?
We had a growth ultrasound last Friday which showed Baby A at 5 pounds, 3 ounces and Baby B at 4 pounds, 15 ounces! Such great weights! I know ultrasounds can be off about a pound, but I hope they are not.
Food Cravings:
Still SWEETS!
Food Aversions:
Nothing in particular!
Symptoms:
– Exhaustion: I had been reading about the 3rd trimester exhaustion and it’s hit me HARD. I’m sure a lot of it is combined with the fact that I’m getting over the flu/bronchitis plus carrying around 10+ pounds of babies, but I am TIRED! I just want to sleep all the time!
Ultrasounds:
My last growth ultrasound on Friday showed that the babies are doing really good! Baby A is still breech and Baby B is head down. I’m wondering if Baby A will still have time to flip!
This Week, We’re Talking About…
The Delivery! Since Baby A is still breech, we went ahead and scheduled a c-section date with my doctor. I still hope Baby A flips, but if not, these two girls are coming on February 25th. I’ll be 38 weeks, 2 days so while I’m sure I will be absolutely MISERABLE, these babies will hopefully be good weights and no NICU time!
Appointments:
I am getting NST’s twice a week and an ultrasound once a week in addition to seeing my OB once a week. Whew! So many appointments!
4 weeks left!
omg, omg, omg it’s only a month away!!!! This is so incredibly exciting!!!! Hey Baby A, mama wouldn’t mind a flip. Just sayin’.
Squeeee! I can not believe the girls will be here next month!! I can not wait to see their beautiful, squishy faces. You keep taking it easy and taking care of yourself! Yay babies!
Wow, what an exciting time! I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone who went full term with twins. At the size they are now, it’s comforting to know that they could come any time and be just fine. I hope Baby A flips! If not, well, some really cool people were born full breech! Both me and my son were footlings. 🙂
Twins!!! OMG how exciting 🙂 Just a few weeks left, you can do it!
Well don’t you look wonderful!!! I really think you do–congrats and I wish you an easy rest of your pregnancy that you carry to full term and then have an easy delievery! keep us posted!!
Baaaaabbbbbiesss!!! You have had a whole lot of ups and downs with this pregnancy but have been rockin’ it, Mama! These girls are already so incredibly lucky to have such an awesome family (and all of us online pseudo-aunties) excited for their arrival, I can’t wait!
So happy that you are feeling better!! So excited to see the little ones and to hear what their names are!
Awww so happy for you!!! That is just so sweet, and I love your updates! We don’t have kiddo’s yet, and I love reading stuff like this!!
Good luck and Congrats!!
Wow – I’m sure you’re so ready to have them out of there! You’re doing great!
Even before you told me your babies were girls, I knew it when you said you were craving sweets! LOL! I’m so happy to hear your pregnancy is going good, I bet you can’t wait to see those babies!
Yay! The home stretch, right? So glad everything is going well for you. I can’t wait to see the first baby pics.
Wahooooo you have a delivery date!! Keep cooking those beautiful babies!!
So exciting!!! Good luck with all the appointments! I had to do NSTs every 3 days for two weeks this last go around, so I know how busy/exhausting all the appointments can be! Hope everything goes well!
I’m tired just reading about all your appointments! Hang in there sweets =)
SO exciting! Hang in there – you’re almost done!
How exciting! You’re much more positive than I would be, around 36 weeks (with just one in there) I was pretty cranky. Good Luck!
We love your updates and this is getting soooo exciting!! Fingers crossed for baby A to do a flip-a-roo! You have such a great attitude and smile..just beautiful. I can only imagine how hard this last trimester has been, especially with the flu;( All the best!!
You go! That’s awesome, I couldn’t imagine carrying two babies and counting down, it was hard enough with one, especially when caring for a toddler!
Yippee!! Only four more week to go – I am SO super excited! So glad you are finally starting to feel better too
Bless your heart! To be sick on top of carrying twins…wow. I can’t wait until they get here and see these precious babies…too exciting!
They are SOOOOO close to being here!! I can’t wait to see those precious faces! I bet Hayden is super excited to be a big brother! He’ll have his hands full with two little sisters to protect!
Where has the time gone? Wow! So exciting. Best of health for the upcoming weeks!
There is still time to turn. When I was about 35 weeks, one of my twins, who was snug as a bug head down, flipped and went breech! I had no idea there would be room for that kind of shenanigans but low and behold, there was! Keeping fingers crossed this one flips for you.
Wow, congratulations!!! You are almost there! And with twins!!I am at only 16 weeks, so I have a waaaays to go yet. Luckily I am just getting over the horrible morning (all-day sickness) I had for three months… But I am also having the fatigue… Fun times!
Only up 21 lbs!? Good work! I was up more than that with one! ha ha
holy moly it’s almost baby time!! sending lots of healthy vibes your way! can’t wait to see pics of those sweet babies!
Being pregnant and sick is miserable. This flu was bad..Girl had it here. Glad you and babies are doing good (other than nasty cough and exhaustion). Hope you have a smooth next 4 weeks!
Almost there! Glad you are feeling better 🙂
