There’s nothing better than hot apple pie, right? Well, that’s what I am thinking right now because I can not stop eating these Bite Sized Apple Pies!
I found the recipe from Pinterest, which led me to the blog cookin’ up north, which I’m quickly falling in love with!
The recipe for Bite Sized Apple Pies is super easy to make and also super delicious.
Ingredients
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Cinnamon
1 package Refrigerated Pie Crust (15 oz.)
3 tablespoons Butter, divided – 2 tablespoons and 1 tablespoon
2 Medium Apples, cut into 8 wedges
Create
1. Combine the sugar and cinnamon, put aside 1 tablespoon.
2. Unroll the pastry on a lightly floured surface. Brush the pastry with the 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mix.
3. Cut the pastry into 8, one inch strips. I ended up cutting them so they were more like a triangle {like a crescent roll}. Wrap each strip around an apple wedge, making sure the sugared side goes against the apple wedge.
4. Place the apple bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and then sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and sugar mix.
5. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve warm {with ice cream!}.
The Bite Sized Apple Pies were so tasty! Perfect for any night of the week or special occasions too!
These look fabulous! I make Hubz’ lunches eat day, and these would be great for that!
I’m such a cheat! I make these using canned apple pie filling in a burrito shell & they are delicious. I add lots of cinnamon & sugar to the melted butter prior to adding the burrito shell.
Okay, that sounds delicious! I need to try that!
Apple desserts are my all-time favorite! These are going on my “must try” list! Yum!
You are making me hungry. Apple pies have always been a weakness for me. I am going to use your recipe for a special family occassion.
Thanks
Wow, these look great. Dave loves apply pie so I might have to try this. and I already have a few tweaking ideas too!
I make these with Pillsbury Crescent rolls!! So good!
Next time I will make them with the crescent rolls because it seems easier!
