I can hardly believe that Pocahontas came out 17 years ago! It’s long been a favorite movie of mine and we have it on DVD. Hayden has seen it once or twice (we always play all the Disney movies for him before a Walt Disney World trip) and he enjoyed it. Now that we have Pocahontas and Pocahontas II on Blu-ray, he loves it even more!
I am loving that so many Disney classics are now available on Blu-ray. The quality is fantastic and I enjoy watching all of the special features included, which many of the original DVD’s didn’t have. No one in my family had seen Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World and we loved watching this continuing story of Pocahontas.
We reviewed the 3-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack of Pocahontas and Pocahontas II which in addition to the movies, includes:
– Drawing Inspiration: The Lost Story of Hiawatha – During the 1940’s, Walt Disney and his team were developing a full-length animated feature called “Hiawatha.” During the early stages of development for “Pocahontas,” the directors found the “Hiawatha” storyboards and were amazed at what they saw. It directly influenced their development of “Pocahontas.” Now, for the first time ever, the full story of Walt Disney’s “Hiawatha” will be presented by “Pocahontas” co-director Eric Goldberg and animation historian Charles Solomon.
– Deleted Song: “If I Never Knew You” – Pocahontas co-director Eric Goldberg introduces this fully animated deleted song, now in hi def. Optional audio commentary with co-directors Eric Goldberg & Mike Gabriel and producer James Pentecost.
– The Music of Pocahontas
– “Little Hiawatha” Cartoon Short
– Deleted Scenes
– “Pocahontas” Audio Commentary – with co-directors Eric Goldberg, Mike Gabriel and producer James Pentecost
– Virtual Vault- a collection of past bonus features, offered via online streaming
Both children and adults will love these movies and the additional features! Check out these great clips below!

Does the bluray include a digital copy?
Yes! It’s a great deal!
Awesome! I’m going to buy it. We borrowed a friend’s copy long ago, and scratched it. Now I can replace it, AND we’ll get to keep the digital copy. 🙂
I would love to see this movie
there is no digital copy with this 3 disc set & no mention of the digital copy on the packaging.
