One of my absolute favorite places to eat is Red Lobster! I don’t get there very often though because my husband is allergic to shellfish and he always thought there weren’t too many options for him at our local Red Lobster.
When I found out that all 700-plus Red Lobster Restaurants across North America are now offering a new menu with even more choices and a bigger variety, I knew there would be something to offer for everyone in my family!
The Red Lobster near me recently went through a remodel, so I was anxious to see how the restaurant had changed.
The new design is inspired by the New England coast and provides a feeling of dining by the seaside! The new exterior features include a stone tower similar to architecture used throughout New England, ship lanterns to welcome guests after dark, and Adirondack-style chairs to encourage conversation and mingling. The interiors now feature expanded seating for large parties and energy-saving upgrades such as LED lighting, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy great-tasting seafood.
Like I mentioned above, Red Lobster’s menu has gone through a huge change, marking the most comprehensive menu transformation in the brand’s 44-year history. You’ll find:
· Everyday Affordability: 60 percent of the dishes on the new menu are under $15; 15 new dishes under $15 are called Maine Stays and are available every day; 4-Course Feast has been added to the menu permanently.
· More Than Just Seafood: We’ve added 28 great-tasting, non-seafood dishes – A 200 percent increase from what was previously offered for non-seafood choices.
· Choice and Variety: New lighter-style options and fish and shrimp entrées among long-time guest favorites.
I was so excited to try out the new menu and my husband was happy to see the large variety that Red Lobster offers!
We started out with the Golden Onion Rings that are served with a jalapeño ranch sauce. Both my husband and I agreed that these were some of the BEST onion rings that we have ever had!
Of course, we received their famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits These are one of my favorites and can you believe my husband had never tried them? All three of us really enjoyed these! If only Red Lobster would give away the recipe! 😉
For our main course, I ordered the Seaside Shrimp Trio, which has always been a favorite of mine! It”s a generous sampling of fried shrimp, savory garlic shrimp scampi and shrimp linguini Alfredo. I also ordered a garden salad and a baked potato with it.
Can I tell you how hard it is to find a restaurant that serves French Dressing? It’s my favorite dressing and I hardly find it anymore so I was excited to see Red Lobster offered that choice.
My husband, who is allergic to shellfish, was able to choose from several options that just wasn’t seafood! He ended up ordering the Blue Cheese Sirloin, a 7 oz. peppercorn-seasoned sirloin, wood-grilled and topped with a creamy blue cheese sauce. He ordered it with a salad and french fries.
My 4 year old son had great choices to pick from on the Red Lobster kid’s menu! He ended up getting macaroni and cheese with a side of oranges!
We had such a fantastic time at our local Red Lobster for dinner! We absolutely loved the new remodel and the additional menu choices they offer – and don’t forget ALL Red Lobster’s offer more variety and choices! It’s definitely worth a stop in and we will be back really soon!
What do you like to order from Red Lobster? Have you been in to see their menu changes?
Disclosure: I received a gift card to facilitate my review but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have not been in since they changed their menu. But I am planning on going for a birthday party next month. I have always loved eating the delicious meals at Red Lobster. Their fish is the best!
I love their clam chowder and cheddar biscuits
I could eat and have eaten only cheddar bay bisquits there. I love them. The closest Red Lobster to me is like 35 minutes, not that bad. I went recently when they had the all you can eat shrimp promo because I am the type to take a bite out of something and say I have had enough or I don’t like it. Tis was great because I had one piece of each shrimp on the menu, not liking them much , I ate about a dozen bisquits and called it a good dinner
I am not a huge fan of Red Lobster because I don’t really care for seafood. I have not been there since they have made all these menu changes. I am very excited about the addition of the 28 non-seafood dishes to the menu. My fiance loves seafood and would love to eat there more often. Maybe with these changes we will both be able to enjoy a great meal at Red Lobster.
That looks great. I am a huge fan of the biscuits (along with fifty million other people 🙂
And the shrimp you have pictured looks good.
I’m allergic to shell-fish, too, so we don’t really eat here.
Glad to see they have lighter selections. I love sea food, but not the deep fried kind.
looks good to me!!
gotta love the cheddar bay biscuits!
My husband is also allergic to shellfish, so we never go there. I like to see that there are steak options for him too.
I heard about the new menu on the radio a month or so ago. I believe Olive Garden, which is the same company as Red Lobster, is doing the same thing.
that sounds like an amazing meal. i have not been to red lobster in a while and need go back. just love their cheddar biscuits.
nothing beats red lobster cheddar biscuits!!
Yummy! I love Red Lobster – and those cheddar biscuits…mmm!! We are huge seafood lovers, so it’s always a toss up on what to get there! I always have to get clam chowder as my starter – so good!
I love their biscuits!
