Review: WordWall for iPad

If your toddler is anything like mine, then they can’t get their hands off your iPad. Hayden actually calls our iPad “MYpad!”. He definitely thinks it is his!

Early childhood education sure has come a long way since I was a kid.  I love being able to download fun and educational games!

Punflay provides educational but FUN games on the iPhone and iPad.

I had the opportunity to review the game WordWall for the iPad.

Wordwall is fun game that teaches young children how to READ!

Make learning to read fun with this bright and colorful game. It knows exactly how to engage children with fun animations and repetitive word use.

Word Wall helps early to beginning readers learn to read and write by:

• Hearing, visualizing, vocally repeating and writing down letters and words.
• Providing activities that cater to budding readers using multiple learning styles such as spatial, visual, tactile, language-oriented, logical, or rhythmic.

• Engaging kids with four well-designed reading games that reinforce recognition of age appropriate sight and word family words.

• Providing structured learning for ESL/EFL and special needs students to help develop or improve their reading and writing skills.

Hayden loved it because not only did he SEE the word, he also HEARD the word. The app then prompts children to repeat the word after.

Hayden is loving this app and I love it because it is helping him in a fun way to learn to read!
