The holidays are approaching and like me, you may feel the stress starting to pile up. For me, there’s school parties, family events, shopping and so much more! One of the most important things to do this holiday season is get a good night’s sleep!
Sometimes it can be hard and you can just lie awake, to-do lists and worries going through your head. I sometimes need a little help falling asleep {although you would think with two infant twins, I’d fall right into bed!} and here are just a few of my favorite things to help get a better night’s sleep!
1. Threshold Sweater Knit Blanket – If you’re always waking up in the middle of the night to yank back the covers from your spouse, consider getting your own blanket! I’m not saying I had to do this or anything because I was stealing the blanket constantly and wrapping myself in it, but if I HAD, I would totally get this comfy and cozy blanket!
2. dohm Sound Conditioner – Are you someone that needs a little sound to sleep? There is NO WAY that I could sleep in silence. I’ve always slept with a fan on until we got the dohm Sound Conditioner, the OFFICIALÂ Sound Conditioner of the National Sleep Foundation! It creates the soothing sound of “rushing air” and tunes everything else out.
3. Sleep Mask – If you need total darkness to sleep, a sleep mask is for you! This is especially helpful for naps! 🙂
4. Lavender Soy Candle – Lavender has long been used to promote relaxation and help with stress. This candle? Smells amazing! All I have to do is take a sniff and I’m instantly relaxed. This will definitely help you fall asleep.
5. Serta iComfort Scrunch Pillow – About 4 years ago, I received a basic pillow for Christmas. I LOVED this pillow. I brought it with me when I had my twins and when I left it at the hospital, I cried until my Mom went and got it for me. So that’s how much I loved my pillow….until I got the Serta iComfort Scrunch Pillow. My new pillow blows that old pillow away. I will sob if I ever lose this one, it’s essential for a good night’s sleep for me!
I’ve got a bonus item for you for a better night’s sleep – the Serta Mattresses iComfort Directions Mattress. This mattress is really all you need for a good night’s rest. The iComfort Directions is a premium memory foam mattress line featuring Serta’s first dual-action gel memory foam in a sleep system designed from the surface to the core for enhanced cooling comfort and individualized body support. The new Cool Actionâ„¢ Dual Effectsâ„¢ material is the world’s first memory foam to combine both Serta’s original MicroSupport® gel and our breakthrough MicroCool+â„¢ gel in a material with 25% more total gel than our original Cool Actionâ„¢ gel memory foam. The mattress is cool, comfortable and supportive – everything you need in a mattress!
Pair that with the Adjustable Foundation and you may never want to get out of bed! You can adjust the foundation so you can easily work in bed or watch TV comfortably. There’s 6 different massage levels {perfect for right before bed!} and even lighting installed under the bed so you don’t have to worry about tripping in the middle of the night.
Hopefully some of these items will help you get a better night’s sleep, especially through the holidays. I want to know….what items help you get a good night’s sleep?Â

I think a new mattress would GREATLY help my husband and I sleep better at night. It’s getting harder for me, being 36 weeks pregnant and not being able to get comfortable. Hopefully I’ll get to rest better (not necessarily more) once the baby is here!

Thansk fo rhtese great tips. I use lavander too, bu tnot in candle form because I fear it will set my room on fire. Instead, I diffuse lavender essential oils.

I love sleeping with an eye mask.
Tara says
I don’t do the face mask well, but white noise is a must – and for it to be cold.

We have multiple blankets on our bed because we’re always fighting over them! Having a good pillow is important and a good mattress is LIFE CHANGING!

I think having a sound machine helps me get a better nights sleep. I can’t sleep without one!

I would soooo love a new mattress. I slept on my sisters that took my shape in her guest bed and slept so well. Unfortunately, they are a little out of my price range. My contoured pillow helps, though!

I know I need a better mattress the one I have now is over 6 years old. I can’t do the mask I might be afraid I miss something and can’t take the mask off quick enough lol.

These are all great ideas. A sound machine has just been added to my holiday wish list.

We need a new mattress. Desperately. We actually bought what we thought was a “great” mattress 8 years ago. We were wrong. As we’ve aged– it’s more and more apparent that this is NOT the bed we’re in need of. But it’s the bed we’ll stick it out with as long as we can.

Very fun! I love serta so much!

the blanket looks so cozy. When I go to bed I take my own blanket because my husband most of the time takes the whole blanket to himself!!brrrr….
Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
I definitely can’t have noise for sleep. How did you and I room together then? Maybe we were so exhausted we could have slept in any circumstances! lol I do want that pillow though. Badly!

Mmmmmmmmm, this is a great go to sleep kit. I would like to curl up with all of it and go to sleep after a long day.

I need DARK and SILENCE for a good sleep. Yes, I prefer silence. While I have gotten used to the highway noises after nearly 9 years of suburbia, whenever we sleep in a quieter local on vacation or something, I sleep SO much better!
Dawn Lopez says
You are speaking to me right? Because I could really use better sleep! Just love these suggestions, I need to check them out 😉

Jennifer Soltys says
I agree!! Except I need total silence to sleep, but some white noise might be good. That pillow sounds amazing, too.
Caroline Thomas says
Great Post for me I struggle with sleeping 8 hours straight!

I know that some people don’t trust the power of essential oils and fragrances, but you are so on the mark with lavender! I have a lavender lotion that I put on before bed, and it works wonders for relaxing me so I can get some sleep. I would love to buy this candle and have a double dose of lavender every night! 😉
Another thing that helps me is sipping on a calming tea like Celestial Seasonings’ Sleepytime on nights when I have a difficult time getting to sleep!

Anything I can do to get better sleep, I’m in!! I do find that I sleep better with an eye mask but I am afraid to get hooked on it.

It’s remarkable to go to see this web page and reading the views of all mates about this
paragraph, while I am also keen of getting familiarity.
