I love when there is a movie in theaters that is fun for the whole family to see. Don’t get me wrong, I love date night at the movies with my husband but there’s just something about that movie experience with your kids that makes for great memories! That’s why I am so excited to be headed to see the Shaun the Sheep Movie, which is in theaters on August 5th!
We’ve been a fan of Shaun the Sheep for a long time now and there was a period where Hayden would not stop singing the theme song. I guess I can look forward to hearing that again and again soon!
In the Shaun the Sheep Movie, Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun where he then gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it’s up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
As I mentioned before, the Shaun the Sheep Movie is something the whole family can enjoy. My husband and I love the claymation and look of the film as well as the cute characters and their unique relationships. I always enjoy hearing my son’s giggle whenever he sees the the Shaun the Sheep Movie trailer come on and I know he is going to be laughing out loud at the movie because he loves the hi-jinks that these characters get themselves into!
With the movie being geared toward children ages 4-10, you know you’ll even be able to bring your youngest ones – it’s a great movie for that first movie theater experience!

Shaun is who inspired me to make these fun ice cream treats! I used vanilla ice cream, mini Milano cookies, mini marshmallows and black icing.
