I was recently introduced to Silk Fruit & Protein when I was asked to participate in a blogging program by SocialMoms. I was excited to learn more because as a mom of infant twins and a 5 year old, I’m just always BUSY. There’s many times that I’ll forget to eat breakfast completely and realize that by noon, I’m starving. That just isn’t good especially because I’m still occasionally nursing my twins still. Breakfast has been tough lately because my 5 year old has been getting tired of the same old breakfast routine we have been going through – milk, toast or cereal and fruit. Since he is going into Kindergarten in a few weeks, I really want to get him on a good routine for breakfast. That is where Silk Fruit & Protein comes in…
Silk Fruit & Protein is a great way to shake up your morning routine! It’s a completely new twist on boring ol’ juice! Silk Fruit & Protein is a fruit juice blend that’s an excellent source of calcium and vitamin D. Also, each glass serves up 5 grams of protein that the entire family will love!
This past year, getting enough protein has been a big deal for me. I have 5 month old twins but the whole time that I was pregnant, I was always trying to up my protein intake. Oh, how I wish I had been drinking Silk Fruit & Protein! Since I’m still nursing my girls, it’s still important for me to get enough protein in addition to calcium and vitamins.
Now my 5 year old son….he’s pretty much a vegetarian. We have struggled so many times trying to make sure that he eats meat or eggs or some other source of protein, but it’s hard. But he loves juice! I love that Silk Fruit & Protein is not only available in the delicious kid-friendly flavors of Mixed Berry and Strawberry-Banana but it’s also providing my son with the protein he needs to start him off to a good morning. Plus, each glass has a full day’s supply of vitamin C, is free of dairy, lactose, gluten, casein, egg and MSG AND has no artificial colors or flavors. It’s a drink that I feel comfortable letting my kids drink and it also is a great drink to bring into the classroom since there are so many restrictions – at least in my son’s school!
I think Silk Fruit & Protein is going to be a great addition to my families morning – what a great way to wake up! Make sure you look for Silk Fruit & Protein near other Silk and plant-based-beverages, not in the juice section. You can see if Silk Fruit & Protein is . I really need a better breakfast. Most days it is just coffee. I bet even I could enjoy breakfast with this.

The added fruit flavor sounds SO good! My kids and husband are huge cereal fans (the kinds that would eat cereal 3 times a day if I let them) so breakfast is usually the easiest meal of the day for us. Lunch during the summer? Totally a different story!

I haven’t tried this, but I make smoothies daily and this sounds like it would add some variety to my typical smoothies.

This stuff is great, I use it as a smoothie base too. I don’t know why they don’t just come out and say “Soy” though.
Elena says

Two things going for it: my daughter loves juice and she was just diagnosed with lactose intolerance. We’ll be trying it out for sure.

These would make a great morning alternate or supplement to breakfast! We’ve never tried these though because my middle son has a severe intolerance to soy…he has problems with dairy as well. 🙁

I haven’t tried this yet. I usually make myself a smoothie for breakfast and this would be a quick replacement when I’m in a hurry. I use Silk Soy Vanilla for my smoothies.

My son can’t drink dairy milk but won’t drink soy milk or almond milk as a beverage, only on cereal. This he loves! I don’t like letting him drink juice a lot so this has been great. I’ve been having a hard time finding it at a local store however. Target used to carry it but no longer does.
