Tomorrow Sippy Cup Mom is participating in the SOPA blackout. While not going completely dark, I am not posting any new content.
Congress wants to vote to pass internet censorship in the Senate, even though the majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill – PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House – to protect our rights to free speech and privacy!
There are numerous sites {like Wikipedia, Reddit and more} that are joining together for one of the largest online protests in history – the SOPA STRIKE.
Visit https://fightforthefuture.org/pipa to watch an informational video!
Here are some things you can do to show your support!
- Write Congress and tell them how you feel about this!
- Change your Twitter profile picture
- Download the the “Down Against SOPA” plugin for WordPress and join the blackout on January 18th.
- Change your Facebook profile pic for the day. You can use the pic on this event page here.

I earn my living by usingthe iternet. I am a little concern about censorship. Presently their are internet sites that should be blocked. FDor example those that children can view. Like facebook, adult sex sites. I feel that our children are exposed to too much now. Even as a parent we try to keep them off the sights, we can not watch them all day and night. Yes, we should protect the children at any means possible.
