Splurge Day Thursday!

Today was Splurge Day Thursday!

Every Thursday is pretty much family day for our little family of three. We like to go somewhere in St. Louis, eat somewhere good and just really have a good day.

Well, since my husband and I have been watching our calories and have been really strict, we decided that Thursdays would be our Splurge Day! And what did we decide on for today?

PIZZA!!

It has seriously been awhile since I’ve had some pizza. I automatically thought that I needed some Imo’s, but we decided to go to Dewey’s Pizza, which I also love. We split a Greek Salad (Which was so-so. I’m a big fan of their Ceasar Salad). We also spilt a pizza that was half Meatball and half Billy Goat.

What’s that, you ask? Well, Meatball is exactly what it sounds like. But here’s the description from their menu.

Red Sauce, Fresh Basil, Fresh Mozzarella, Italian
Meatballs, Oregano, and Parmesan Cheese

YUM! That was Heath’s choice for his half of the pizza. And little H ate 2 pieces of that! 🙂

My choice for the other half of the pizza was the Billy Goat, which is my favorite from there!

After Dewey’s, we decided to walk around Downtown Kirkwood. I absoultely love Downtown Kirkwood. I love all the little shops, the Farmer’s Market, the Train Station…

Today was the first day the Farmer’s Market opened, which made me really excited! We didn’t buy any fruit, since I still was pretty stocked up, but I loved looking at all the fruit and veggies. They also had lots of Gooey Butter Cakes and Cookies, which I resisted because….

We went to TED DREWES next!

We were excited to get H a sundae for his first Ted Drewe’s experience. But of course, he fell asleep!! Of course, Heath and I decided to just go ahead and get something for ourselves! 🙂 Heath ordered the Dutchman Concrete and I got the Apple Pie Sundae, which was a special. It was delicious….Apple Pie covered with Vanilla Ice Cream, Carmel and Nuts!

Since H was still sleeping we decided to drive through Lone Elk Park. Sometimes when we go there are animals out and sometimes we will never see one! We were lucky because they were everywhere! Below is a picture taken with my phone.
