Welcome to Stalker Saturdays from The Life of a Sippy Cup Mom, The Adventures of Goober Grape and Monkey Man, and Stash Mama!
We all have to start small. Stalker Saturdays was created to help the little blogs that we stalk to gain new followers. These are blogs that we find interesting, hilarious, touching, crazy…but they need a little help being pushed into the limelight.
All that we ask is that you visit the stalked blogger and check their blog out (you might even say that you’re stalking it!). If you become a new follower of theirs, let them know you’re following them from Stalker Saturdays!
Interested in being stalked? Do you ever feel like someone’s watching you…?
Contact either Sippy Cup Mom, Goober Monkey or Stash Mama and let them know…and we might stalk you next!
This week we are stalking “Every Mom Has Her Day!”
The wonderful blogger Lei is actually Stash Mama’s real life bestie! They met through Meetup.com and her son is a month older than the Princess! They are bffs too! Lei just started her blog not too long ago and has some wonderful content! Be sure to say “Hello” for me!
Aloha! My name is Lei and I am a mommy, wife, sister, daughter, friend, photographer, lover of ahi poke and chocolate haupia pie. I’d rather be barefoot than wear shoes in my house. I make spam musubi for my husband. I can spin on my head, thanks to my hubby, who by the way taught me how to break dance.
When my sister was five years old, I taught her how to swim and ride a skateboard. I love the ocean. No matter where I go, I always over pack. My favorite author/poet is Maya Angelou and my top five must haves are my ipod, laptop, camera, cell phone and Nintendo DS.
I was born and raised on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and though I am far from home, I never forget where I’m from. I live in Atlanta, drive a Scion TC, and prefer mango’s to peaches, dogs to cats, water to soda, trade winds to central air and sticky rice to mashed potatoes.
Join my blog to stay tuned to my latest adventures in motherhood as a first-time mama and much more. I will also host giveaways and product reviews, so please stop by Every Mom Has Her Day and say ‘Aloha’!
Since the Birthday Bash is in action now I thought it would be perfect to use Lei’s Birthday post as an introductory to her!
A baby’s first birthday is a big deal. In Hawaii, where I was born and raised, a baby’s first birthday is an even bigger deal. A big party or lu’au is planned for the little one, where everyone, both family and friends, are invited to party, to eat, to drink, to laugh, to ‘talk story’, it’s a time for everyone to celebrate the baby’s life.
Even though, I left my island paradise nearly 10 years ago, I never forget where I’m from and now that I have a little one of my own, its even more important to keep up with the customs and traditions. The first birthday is a big deal, its a special time and is considered a major milestone in a baby’s life. When I thought of my son’s first birthday it always seemed so far away, that when he hit 10 months old, I realized he was nearly one years old and I had a lot of planning to do for his Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party.
I combined homemade crafts and Yo Gabba Gabba decorations to create a colorful and playful feel for the birthday boy and his little friends. Finding Yo Gabba Gabba party supplies in the stores was challenging, I actually found an online party supply store, Birthday Express, which sells Yo Gabba Gabba party supplies. Birthday Express is the online destination for party supplies for a personalized child or adult’s birthday party, Birthday Express also sells costumes. I was sent a Yo Gabba Gabba! Basic Party Pack, Yo Gabba Gabba! Pinata, and Yo Gabba Gabba! Party Radio Box to review from Birthday Express.

I really can’t believe my little baby boy is one years old, its true what everyone tells you; to cherish every moment, because babies grow up fast. Looking back its been a challenging yet very rewarding year. I knew being a parent wouldn’t be easy, but I never knew how much I would love, love, love being a mommy.
My son’s first birthday was not only the day he was born, it was a day that love and light was brought into our lives and life as we knew it would never be the same again…life would be sweeter.
Cheers,
Lei
Happy Stalking!
