Welcome to Stalker Saturdays from The Life of a Sippy Cup Mom, The Adventures of Goober Grape and Monkey Man, and Stash Mama!
We all have to start small. Stalker Saturdays was created to help the little blogs that we stalk to gain new followers. These are blogs that we find interesting, hilarious, touching, crazy…but they need a little help being pushed into the limelight.
All that we ask is that you visit the stalked blogger and check their blog out (you might even say that you’re stalking it!). If you become a new follower of theirs, let them know you’re following them from Stalker Saturdays!
Interested in being stalked? Do you ever feel like someone’s watching you…? Contact either Sippy Cup Mom, Goober Monkey or Stash Mama and let them know…and we might stalk you next!
This weeks stalked blog is Ting’s Mom!
A little about the voice behind Ting’s Mom!
“I’m a 31 year old working mom and wife. We live in the south where football and deer hunting rule the world. I am the mom of an adorable 15 month old daughter and she is the center of my universe. My blog is a place for me to capture all the craziness that comes along with raising a toddler while juggling life. I am working to get my foot in the door for product reviews and giveaways as well.” – Karen
Here’s an example of Karen’s awesome writing style from a recent post:
Listen to Maggie
Do you have a GPS? I do, and we call her Maggie. Maggie and I have a love-hate relationship – I love her, she hates me! So, at 5:45 this morning I headed out to a meeting in a city about 3 hours away. I hate driving in the “big” city because it requires you to pay very close attention to multiple lanes of traffic, lots of traffic, lots of construction, and then figure out where you are going. It is so nice to just drive along and have Maggie tell you where to go. But, my problem comes in that I frequently think I’m smarter than Maggie.
My meeting started at 8:45 this morning. Around 8:30 I am nearing the meeting place (which I’ve actually been to a couple times before) and run into construction. So, as Maggie tells me to exit right and then stay left, I look and it just doesn’t look right. Barrels everywhere, old lanes gone, new lanes have appeared. I think to myself that Maggie just isn’t up on all the construction. So, I exit right, and then stay right: RECALCULATING!!! Oh, those dreaded words. So, Maggie patiently took me on a detour route and we got to the meeting right at 9:00.
After the meeting, we head home. Except I have to come home a different route because I am going to swing by and pick Ting up from my Lollie and Pops. As Maggie tells me to turn left, I forget that I am going home a different way and I go straight: RECALCULATING. Only this time, I’m sure she mumbled Stupid Idiot under her breath. So, after another fun filled detour, we made it home all safe and sound tonight. One of these days I will learn to just listen to what she has to say and do as she tells me… maybe 🙂
My meeting today was all about marketing. My job has many duties and various aspects, but the marketing part of it is most definitely my favorite part. I love everything about it. I love how you can use so many unlimited resources to market an idea and eventually (hopefully) have all your hard work pay off in the form of customers and rave reviews. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my job. Seriously, I LOVE it. But, if I had money to just throw away, I think I would love to have my own marketing and public relations consulting business. I think it would be so much fun to research other industries and get involved with new and upcoming businesses. To be able to help someone develop and carry out a marketing plan to get their product or service out for the world to see. How much fun would that be?

Boy I can totally relate to that post! I have heard that awful thing udder “recalculating” far too much! I’ll tell you what though, we used to use the gps in our phones, and since we have switched companies, we haven’t bought a gps yet. I used to think I had a good sense of direction…nope! Oh how I need Maggie!
I hope everyone gets a chance to stop by and say “Hello” to Ting’s Mom for me!
