Recently, my husband and I have been spending a lot of time talking about teaching my son how to ride a bike. He’s 8 years old and I know when I was his age, I was already riding my bike around the neighborhood. There’s nothing like that feeling of zooming down the sidewalk on your bike with your friends. It seems like a lot of kids these days don’t learn to ride a bike, but I feel like it’s one of those things you need to know in life! It’s such an important milestone in a child’s life but for parents, it can be hard to know where to begin on teaching your child how to ride a bike. Taking a look at a kids bike size chart first is a good first step in choosing a bike for their kids!
Now, parents can look to one place and one brand to help them teach their kids how to ride a bike – Schwinn SmartStart Bicycles at Toys”R”Us! Established in 1895, Schwinn is the go-to resource for the recreational bike rider – including kids! You’ll find the largest selection of 16” bikes for kids at Toys”R”Us, too. If you’re thinking about buying a bike for your child, check out the infographic below from Schwinn for some great tips!
You’ll love the Schwinn SmartStart Bicycles available at Toys”R”Us for your kids as they are made to be your child’s first bike! They are light-weight for better stability and are easier to learn how to ride because they give you a better balance! Plus, the SmartStart bikes grow with your child as the seat can be raised. Like all Schwinn bikes, SmartStart bikes have a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own the bike too.
Boys 16 Inch Schwinn Burnout SmartStart Bike
The Schwinn Burnout 16 Inch bike is a great choice to get a new rider started on their cycling journey. Not only does it come with colors and graphics that will win them over, but it has hidden benefits that will make it easier for little bodies to pedal and ride. Each Schwinn SmartStart bike is built with a child’s proportions in mind. The grips are smaller, the pedals are closer together, and the seat is angled in such a way that the body is positioned to make pedaling less stressful. If your child is more comfortable, then they will want to ride, and learning will be less frustrating for everyone involved.
