I KNEW that Teacher Appreciation Week was coming up and I kept browsing Pinterest for cute ideas. But I’m a procrastinator and I knew I wasn’t going to get to the store by Monday. Luckily, I saw this cute idea over on Happy Home Fairy and decided this would be a great gift for Hayden’s teachers and I wouldn’t even have to get out of my car and go to the store to do it!
I decided to make my own printable over on PicMonkey to include with the Munchkin Donuts that are available at Dunkin’ Donuts. You can print the Thank You for Taking Care of our Little Munchkin template and below are steps to include your child’s photo on it!
Head over to PicMonkey {it’s free!} and upload a picture of your child. Once it’s uploaded, use the Crop tool. Change it from No Fixed Proportions to Square. Center the square around your child’s head. Once you’ve done that, hit Apply.
Once you have just your child’s head in the square, click on Frames and then Rounded Corners. You can then move the Corner Radius until it’s a complete circle and then make sure to select on Transparent Corners. Then, click on Apply and then Save the picture.
Then, open up a new project and upload the Munchkin printable. Once it’s uploaded, click on the Overlays button. Then, select the Your Own button. You’ll be able to upload the picture of your child you just made into a circle. Then, move it over the orange Starburst. Save and then print!
I printed the template in a 4×6 size on cardstock. I brought some tape with me in the car, went through the Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru to order some Munchkins {only $5!} and taped it on the side of the box.
Hayden loved bringing this into school and giving it to his teachers and they got to enjoy a sweet treat for all that they do for him!

I work in an elementary school as a social worker. Please know that a small gesture such as this really means a lot to teachers. It is nice to be appreciated where ever you are in life, especially if it s from one of your students parent
