The Avengers Family Movie Night with Avengers Augmented Reality App #MarvelAvengersWMT

The biggest movie of the year was The Avengers and my husband and I saw it in theaters three times! My husband actually went with a friend, so he was able to see it four times. We couldn’t wait for the movie to come out on Blu-ray so we could watch it at home and see what special features were available.

So on Tuesday (Avengers Day!) I dropped my son off at pre-school and headed to Walmart on my own. I usually bring him along but it’s also nice to get to store alone. Plus, I was just planning on running in and out  – I didn’t even have a shopping list – so I knew I would be quicker alone.

I had read that there was an awesome Avengers Augmented Reality App available so I downloaded it onto my iPhone from the iTunes store. As soon as I walked into the store, I had the app ready to see what would happen!

I was planning on buying The Avengers on Blu-ray but also making it a fun family night! Right when I entered Walmart, there was a display of their Marketside Pizzas, which we love! I was so excited to see they had “Avengers Pizzas”!

I knew the Captain America Pepperoni Pizza would be the perfect dinner! After loading it into my cart, I headed back to the Electronics and Entertainment department to pick up the movie. But before I could make it back there, I was distracted by the toy department! You would think I had my son with me! There were a ton of Avengers toy displays, complete with balloons!

Once back in the toy department, I discovered a “Trigger Point” for the Avengers Augmented Reality App that I had downloaded. Once I opened the app, I chose “Take the Quiz” so I could see which Avenger I was! I simply pointed my iPhone’s camera at the sign.

Now this was so cool! The quiz popped up onto the screen like 3D!

Each Trigger Point for the Avengers quiz lets you only answer 3 questions so my mission was to find even more Trigger Points throughout the store. After checking out the toy department, I finally got over to Electronics and Entertainment so I could buy The Avengers Blu-ray!

There was an awesome exclusive deal only at Walmart which was ! I knew both my husband and son would love it so I had to get it!

After seeing another Trigger Point, I had to complete the quiz to see which Avenger I was most like! It told me…Captain America! (He IS my favorite!)

I loved that after you found out which Avenger you were, it took a picture of you and then you had the option of sharing it via your social media networks. Once you’re home, you’re able to take the quiz over and over again!

After picking up a few more items to complete our Avengers Family Night, I was ready to check out and get home! My husband and son (I mean, Captain America and The Hulk) were in for a real treat for our Avengers Family Fun Night! They were excited to check out the Graphic Novel while the pizza cooked!

Then, it was movie and pizza time! We loved watching The Avengers at home. My husband and I really enjoyed all of the special features – including the gag reel!
