I unpacked the EatSmart Precision Elite Digital Kitchen Scale from it’s packaging and was impressed by it’s sleek, stainless steel appearance. I have never owned a kitchen scale before and was excited to get started figuring out portion sizes, calorie counting and baking using measurements in ounces!
This kitchen scale is one of EatSmart’s newest products! It has a backlit LCD screen that is large and simple to read. The large stainless steal platform is easy to clean and is able to hold large mixing bowls.
A Calorie Factors Book comes along with the Elite Digital Scale. It allows you to count calories and was very helpful in finding the correct portion sizes to meet my goals in eating healthy.
Many recipes also measure in ounces. This kitchen scale displays not only in ounces, but also pounds, grams and kilograms.
You can put the food directly on the safe, stainless steel platform or you can use the tare feature that allows you to factor out the weight of a plate or other dish. It comes with four AAA batteries and has a convenient three minute auto-turnoff.
We live in a land of large portion sizes. Restaurants get us used to enormous portions, before the using this scale, I really had no idea the correct amount of food I should be eating for each meal. I had been eating healthy for months now and have not been able to lose the rest of these baby pounds (did I mention my youngest is two?). With the EatSmart Precision Elite Digital Kitchen Scale, I could keep track of the amounts of the healthy food I was eating. With this, in addition to exercise I am on my way to a healthier, more energetic body!

EatSmart makes a commitment to charity. Every month, EatSmart allows a fan to submit short stories about their favorite charity’s mission and why it’s specifically meaningful to them. The Charity of the Month donations began in 2011. This month, EatSmart will help support Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. Their primary mission is to provide sanctuary while finding permanent, loving homes for the many animals that come to us (including feral, elderly, handicapped, and formerly abused animals). Animals in our care receive lots of love in addition to shelter, food, and medical care.
