This blog has extensively covered DisneyLand and Disney’s California Adventure located in Anaheim. While the attractions provided at the Disney run parks are some of the best in the world, if you travel south to San Diego, you will also find there’s so many things to do in San Diego with the entire family.
Inflatable World
If you are looking to satisfy the entertainment needs of children of all ages, you can not go wrong with Inflatable World. This park is over 40,000 square feet and features a fully carpeted area with giant slides, obstacle course and bouncy houses. The park prides itself in providing a clean and safe environment where your children can have a fun time while working on their physical fitness while interacting with other kids. The park is also great because at the end of the day your little ones will sleep sound after burning all of their energy in the giant inflatable structures.
Belmont Park
Belmont park is a beachfront amusement destination that boasts free admission and free parking. The park itself boasts classic roller coasters, amusement park rides, midway and arcade games, laser tag, mini golf, and even a wave pool. While you may have to pay for the different attractions separately, the ala carte option allows you to experience only the attractions you really want to. If you set up a couple of towels on the beach, you can make an entire day of exciting rides and relaxing beaches.
Legoland California
Legoland has quickly risen up the ranks as one of San Diego’s premier theme parks. Here you will find some of the most intricate and impressive Lego statues scattered in between concession stands, exhibits, and classic amusement park rides. The park is divided into sections with different themes such as Dino Island, Miniland USA, Castle Hill, Pirate Shores, and even the Legoland Water Park.
San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo is one of the largest, most ecologically diverse zoological parks in the entire country. It houses animals from all seven continents and even hosts a giant panda. The park services all types of needs from day-long tours to summer camps for children of all ages at the Safari Park. The Zoo is a great spot to visit if you want to see some animals or if you want to host a formal event. It is not uncommon to walk through the San Diego zoo and see a group of foreign tourists interspersed with a marriage ceremony furnished by the Personal Creations wedding department.
SeaWorld San Diego
San Diego has become synonymous with the aquatic spectacle known as Sea World. Not only will you find the classic attractions such as killer whales, dolphins, and beluga whales, you can also go on rides like the Riptide Rescue, Manta, and the Wild Arctic Ride. Shows run all day and feature popular animals like Shamu and killer whales and exhibits are available to help you and your family learn more about life under the sea.
If you currently live in Southern California, you are spoiled by the rich depth of the region’s amusement parks. If you are planning a family trip to the area, it is a good idea to purchase tickets online and even consider purchasing VIP packages in order to avoid long lines when you get into the parks. Also remember to pack accordingly for any time you visit an amusement park. This usually calls for light clothing, plenty of sunscreen, and a cooler to keep in your car so you can avoid paying high prices at park concession stands.
