Toddler Talk was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!
Link up a post that is related to this weeks topic.

Link ups will be open ALL WEEK!
This Week’s Topic: Picky Eaters
Both my husband and I are not picky eaters, so it really surprises me that Hayden has turned out to be somewhat of a picky eater.
I actually brought it up with his doctor at his 4 year appointment. The good thing is that Hayden is being picky over wanting fruits and yogurt over ANYTHING else. He doesn’t eat meat, he’s not a big pasta eater {unless its Spaghetti-O’s} and the only breads he likes are waffles.
He would LOVE if he could just eat waffles, fruit and yogurt all day long!
Here’s what I try to do for him:
– Get really excited about new foods and let him know that Mommy and Daddy love them too!
– Sneak foods in. If I’m making a pasta I’ll sneak spinach in every time.
– Have your toddler help pick out new foods at the grocery store.
– Make food fun! Let your toddler cook with you and have fun filling the plate!
What are your tips for picky eaters?

Great tips! I think with some kids it’s just the age, too … and they slowly get better about it. 🙂
Mine on the other hand – oy! I think I have a dye-hard picky eater!! I try to console myself and say “surely she’ll eat more than chicken nuggets when she’s 20 years old …”
Love this series!
Good idea to sneak in some spinach!
Ha!! I had to laugh about the spinach thing – I do the SAME THING! It’s so easy to sneak that into food. We put it in L’s grilled cheese sandwiches, and every time he acts like its the best thing he has ever tasted. If I told him what it was though, he wouldn’t touch it!!
