Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!
Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog to see what topic your suggest for the following week. If we choose your topic – you will be our featured blog.
Keep the GREAT suggestions coming. We have an on-going list we will choose from each week. Some topics are ones we have done in the past – but that doesn’t mean we won’t revisit them!!
In order to qualify for this you need to blog about this week’s topic, and follow the hosts.
And the end of your post – suggest a topic for next week.
Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.
This week’s Feature Host is:
Many Adventures of the Modern Hippie Mama
This Week’s Topic: What is your toddlers bath time routine?
If I was writing this post a month ago, I would say that we have a great bath time routine! Lately though Hayden has really been struggling with his bath. He does NOT want to take a bath. Once he gets in the bath he loves it and then doesn’t want to get out.
We used to be able to get him undressed and TRY to have him sit on the potty and then into the bath.
Now he fights me until he gets in the tub where he happily plays. He plays with his toys while we wash him and then I was his hair. He does not like me rinsing his hair so I try to do it really fast.
Once we are done with washing his hair I let him play a little longer!
I have no idea why he isn’t excited for the bath anymore but is when he is in there!

that’s odd he fights it until he’s in. My kids went through stages of hating baths, including being in! They would try and climb out the whole time.

I think it is a faze. Baybah use to ask us to put him in bed, now the only way I can get him to go upstairs and start his bedtime routine is if I tell him he is going to take a bath. Silly toddlers!

My son is 25 months, he hates it when I pour water over him to take the soap off. He doesn’t mind it too much, with no soap.

We went through this phase a few months ago. C would run and hide when I said bath time, kick and scream all the way to the tub and then enjoy it. Then he got where if I would say bath time and go to the bathroom and wait he would come and want to take a bath after a few minutes. Kind of like he just needed to be the one in charge. Now FINalLY he is back to liking bath time.

My girls don’t like their hair rinsed either! I try and try and try to explain to my 3 year old that if she would look up at the ceiling I wouldn’t get any water in her eyes, but she still freaks out and then I just dump the water on her head to get it over with as quickly as possible. Ya can’t reason with kiddos!!
