Toddler Talk Thursday: Making the Switch to a Big Bed!

Welcome to Week 54 of Toddler Talk Thursday!

Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other parents of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!

Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog to see what topic your suggest for the following week. If we choose your topic – you will be our featured blog.

Keep the GREAT suggestions coming. We have an on-going list we will choose from each week. Some topics are ones we have done in the past – but that doesn’t mean we won’t revisit them!!

This week’s featured Blog is 3 Princess Academy who suggested this week’s topic: Making the switch from crib to bed/toddler bed.

I feel a little behind with getting Hayden into a toddler bed. He’s 3.5 but still in his crib. He LOVES his crib and when he wakes up, he likes to hang out, reading books, etc.

I’ll admit, I have a fear of when we put him in a bed, his 3 hour daily naps will end. I know it’s time though and when we get back home from Disney, we have a twin bed we are going to put in his room. His room is already extremely toddler proof, with everything bolted to the walls, and I’m thinking we will have a gate for the doorway.

What are your trips for making the switch and making sure they stay down for naps?
