Welcome to Week 37 of Toddler Talk Thursday! Where Family and Life in Las Vegas, Crazy about my Baybah, and My Life as a Sippy Cup Mom talk all things TODDLER!!
** If you want to follow this on twitter – or plan on tweeting your post – please use hashtag: #letstalktoddler **
Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog to see what topic your suggest for the following week. If we choose your topic – you will be our featured blog. Keep the GREAT suggestions coming. We have an on-going list we will choose from each week. Some topics are ones we have done in the past – but that doesn’t mean we won’t revisit them!!
In order to qualify for this you need to blog about this week’s topic, and follow the hosts.
And the end of your post – suggest a topic for next week.
Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.
Our highlighted blog this week is:
What is your toddler’s bedtime routine?
Hayden is a toddler who definitely likes his routine. Although since we got back from Disney last month, he has been going off it some.
Before bedtime we will wind down with a bath. He usually loves his baths but for some reason in the past month has been fighting them. Once he is in there awhile he loves them .
After his bath we get him in his jammies and then go on the couch or “Mama’s Bed” and read a story. Most nights he can convince Heath to read two books.
After storytime we brush his teeth. We always have to brush his lovey’s teeth too.
Then we get him into sleep, but only after we have given him his lovey, covered him with his “Cozy” blanket, pick out 2 or 3 books to keep in his crib with him and turn off the light.
Luckily, bedtime is not a fight right now but I’m sure it will change when we get him into a big boy bed!

I’m so excited you linked up! I can’t wait to read your blog!
Lolo says
I know the feeling about being nervous when he moves into a big boy bed. Bedtime runs so smoothly now!
Sippy Cup Mom says
Exactly! I’m so nervous. I feel like he will never lay down!

Sounds like you guys have bedtime down pat! Ours stretches out a little bit to long. Maybe one day it will be shorter. We actually tried the move to the big boy bed this week, it did not last though. I know if I could just hang in there it would be done and be good. However, this Mama and little boy treasure our sleep.
Sippy Cup Mom says
Sometimes he will try and drag it out but he is pretty good.
I am the same way, I love my sleep. I don’t want to give it up and I know Hayden will have a field day if he has free roam around his room.

I tried to get the button and it wouldn’t show up on my page. I don’t know if it’s my page or the button.

My oldest went through a dislike of baths for awhile too. She used to love them, than hated them, now she loves them again. Kids are so great! Good luck on the switch to a big boy bed!
Mama Chocolate says
The big bed switch is looming in our future too… :-/
Katie also recently went through a I-don’t-like-baths-anymore stage, but it’s over. 🙂

our girl fights us about getting out of the bath too….water bugs!
Super cute with the lovie 🙂
Only 2 books? SAP usually gets 3 and tries more! Does he stay awake and read the books you let him keep in bed swith him? I let her do that one time and she would not go to sleep silly girl! But I remember back in the day of her crib she used to wake up in the morning and just sit there reading books instead of waking us up…those were the days!
