This Week’s Topic: Toddlers and Sports
Hayden is 4 years old and we are starting to get flyers in his little cubbie at school about various sports. There’s soccer and t-ball coming up and I’m starting to consider getting Hayden involved.
I think it would be great to have him active and running around with other kids. Trust me, I know at this age that it’s “herd ball” but I still think it would be a lot of fun! I think it’s important to start them early on good sportsmanship and being active!
I loved playing sports growing up and I definitely want Hayden too also – it’s so important in this technology obsessed world {and trust me, our family is technology obsessed!}
As far as watching sports, we are already making sure that Hayden grows up to be a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan! 😉
Is your toddler playing sports yet? What sports do you look forward to them playing?
Next Week’s Topic: Favorite Craft or Art Project with Toddler

This link up is for families that have toddlers. Raising a toddler can be fun, crazy, exciting, and exhausting. Sharing what works for you could give other families another way to do things.
C loves to watch some baseball. He’d watch it all day long if you let him He also goes to big brothers games and its amazing to see how much of the game he has learned just from that.
I encourage sports : my 2 munchkins play different activities. My son is in hockey! (It is very important in Canada) and my princess takes dance classes..
my daughter is turning 4 this month and has been in gymnastics for the last year and has been doing horseback riding. I want to get her signed up for soccer this summer also.
I don’t have kids yet, but I definitely agree that sports are important! We can’t just have them inside playing video games all day!
My kids have all been involved in activities even at toddler age, I think it is the key to have active older kids.
Nice topic! Sports play a vital role in developing friendships, good sportsmanship and keeping fit and lean. The more the merrier!
